The upcoming New Year for many people calls for a new hairstyle. With 2009 so close at hand, various hairstyles will be reflecting the sexy, sophisticated looks that were prevalent in the 1940s. Parents prefer a short haircut for kids because they are very active and their hairstyle should not hamper their fun time. Once when kids reach their teens they grow out more towards the fashion trends. They try to copy styles and looks of celebrities and other famous personalities. Today spikes and crew cuts are most popular for young boys. Young girls prefer more of shoulder length hair or tight ponytails.

Many celebrities are wearing a hairstyle that suits both their facial features and their personality, and if you are looking for a long style with kinks and waves or a short style with a quiff, 2009 will be the year for your hairstyle to shine.
