Botox, Facial Fillers, Silicone Implants: What's the Best Way to Get a Lift?

The mirror tells you that wrinkles and sagging skin are piling on the years and that a dose of facial injections is the proper solution.

While injectables are certainly useful to revitalizing your face, these may not be the complete answer to your woes. Smoothing out wrinkles is not the only aspect of regaining a youthful appearance. The contours of your face can be dramatically improved with the addition of cheek or chin implants. You might discover that facial fillers, implants, or a combination of both are what you're looking for.

Full, high cheeks can create an extremely youthful appearance. Ageing causes the cheeks to hollow, making the face look gaunt or sucked-in. Some surgeons use injections such as fat to plump out the cheeks; however the most common and most effective method for achieving symmetrical, attractive cheeks is through implants.

These implants are most often made of solid silicone and are inserted through an incision made either below the eye or near the gums inside of the mouth. Although you will be put under anesthesia, unlike fillers, the results will last a lifetime and the recovery time will be only a few days longer.

Another way to give the face a lift is through chin augmentation. Like cheek implants, chin implants are usually solid silicone and are slipped into place through an small incision underneath your chin. The implant will firm up any loose skin around it and of course the results should last forever. Chin implants can greatly improve your profile and can even give the illusion of a smaller nose. Although it is a good way to boost your profile and sharpen your jaw line, chin augmentation won't erase fine lines and wrinkles around your mouth and nose. But like cheek implants, the recovery time is roughly a week and will cause only mild discomfort.
