Discover Topical Natural Creams For Getting Rid Of Dry Skin

Out of all the millions of natural topical creams that are out there that boast of getting rid of dry skin we are spoiled for choice, or so it would seem. But the real problem is not finding a suitable one but finding one that is extremely effective and is good value for money.

Skin is the body's largest organ and comprises of many layers each with its own specific role to play. When we are young the hyaluronic acid is plentiful supply as is the elastin and collagen cells.

As we age the skin starts to become drier and it also may become susceptible to becoming irritated. Although dry skin can appear any where the hands, feet, legs etc. the most noticeable place is the face and nobody likes to suffer from unsightly, itchy dry skin.

Even though the skin can be dry many people have what's known as a T Zone. These are oily patches that appear along the forehead, the nose and the chin. This type of skin in called combination skin and is a very common condition for many people.

The best creams for getting rid of dry skin is naturally going to contain hydrating ingredients that are proven to be effective and that will also not upset the balance of any greasy patches that you may have.

In quality hydrating facial products you will probably find some wonderful natural oils such as Manuka, avocado, jojoba and others. These oils and waxes have the ability to penetrate deeply into the skin layers and provide wonderful hydration for your parched skin.

An important point to know is that not all natural topical creams for dry skin are actually good for your skin, irrespective of what the label might say. For example although some natural oils are soothing and hydrating to the skin, like the ones mentioned above, there are some oils that are commonly used that are terrible for the long term health, appearance, and hydration of your skin.

One of these culprits is mineral oil and to make matters worse mineral oil is widely found in baby products, lip hydrating products and others. Mineral oil is occulsive and amongst other things clogs the pores preventing them from breathing naturally.

These oils are not hypoallergenic. They can lead to skin irritations which can lead to acne flare-ups, well into your twenties and older.

This oil actually makes your skin dependent on it. So although it may seem like it is working if you ever stop trying to use it, your skin actually becomes drier than before you ever started using it!

This is why it is so important to carefully research creams for getting rid of dry skin.

If you are a suffer of dry skin on your arms, back, hands, look for an ingredient called phytessence wakame. This is a variety of native Japanese Sea.kelp.

One of the secrets to the beautiful youthful, supple, pliant touchably soft skin of the Japanese could well be due phytessence wakame. Which, until now, has been a great kept secret from those in the Western society.

Another special ingredient, found in some of the best skin products, is Cynergy TK. Topical skin applications in some studies have shown a 14% improvement in skin moisture retention over 18 days.

There are numerous other wonderful ingredients to look out for if you are concerned about natural topical creams for getting rid of dry skin, some of which I discuss at my website. But do not forget that it is just as important to educate yourself on the ingredients to avoid putting on your skin.

Topical skin moisturizers literally have the ability to nourish your skin. So instead of poisoning your skin with dangerous ingredients use products that promote your health and wellbeing as well as giving you soft, pliant and youthful skin.
