A wedding is a formal function, yes. That much is a given, with the ceremony and all. When I compare a wedding to other formal functions, I see aspects of it that make it special yet parallel to these functions. The air of uniformity, for one, makes a wedding typical of any formal function. What makes it special, however, is the type of clothing that one attending a wedding, especially one participating in the actual ceremony, gets to wear. Another thing that makes a wedding special is that other formal events have a standard theme.

In a wedding, the theme depends upon the couple about to partake their vows. Thus, it can be as fancy or as simple as the bride and the groom wish it to be. The decorations and the attires that participants wear are a result of planning and decision-making of the key people in a particular wedding rather than some conventional notion. There is also, of course, the fact that a wedding not only marks a special day, but rather the day that will start more days of a different nature for the bride and groom.

I have established that uniformity is one key element of a wedding. When I hear the words uniformity or uniforms, I imagine them around the words dull and uninteresting. In the case of a wedding, however, this is not the case. The uniformity that accompanies the wedding makes it all the more interesting. Uniformity in this event usually revolves around a particular theme. Thus, your decorations and the gowns of your bridesmaids will most likely be according to the theme. Typically, the bridesmaids will don similar gowns for the ceremony, in terms of design and color. But even if they have the same thing on, they can still sparkle through the right pieces of jewelry. One of the pieces of jewelry that can truly enhance their look is the bridesmaid necklace.

The necklace is probably one of the most popular pieces of jewelry. Perhaps this is because this seemingly light piece of jewelry has the power to turn an outfit into something lovely and different, not to mention the fact that it will enhance your look. Thus, the necklace is one piece of jewelry that you should ensure that your bridesmaids have. The bridesmaid necklace can be the icing on the cake. It is the one that will turn the uniform looks of your bridesmaids into something interesting and even individually different. Here are some points to consider when selecting for the bridesmaid necklace.

Same for all or different for each.
You can decide on one necklace for all of your bridesmaids, or you can have a different design and even a different material of necklace for each of them; it is your call. If you decide on the former, make sure that the design and the type of necklace that you choose for your bridesmaids would be fitting for all of them. Those who decide on the latter usually do so because they consider the personality of each of their bridesmaids. If you choose this, just make sure that each necklace for each of your bridesmaids would not veer off your wedding theme.

The piece that enhances.
Never forget the basic function of the necklace: to enhance your look, may that pertain to your bearing or your attire. Thus, the necklace that you choose for your bridesmaids should be fancy enough as to not go unnoticed, but not fancy enough as to overshadow the attire or the look.
