After your surgery, you will most often be able to go home, or to a specialized overnight facility. Sometimes when you go home the doctor will send you with a private duty nurse to help you as well. After you are home, and for the next two weeks, the long-acting local anesthetic will minimize the pain and will help with the swelling that occurs.

As you can tell from the procedure, it is very important that you have a very good doctor perform your Beverly Hills face lift surgery. Talk with the doctor beforehand to see what kind of procedure they follow, which kind of anesthetic they use and if you have any choices and what kind of post-surgical care you can expect. If possible, speak with past patients and find out what it was like for them and what suggestions they have for you. Often times, doctors will have patients testimonials that you can read that will help you get a better idea of what to expect in the procedure. I would also suggest to look at before and after pictures, and not just the before and after pictures that you find on the doctor's website. They will invariably put up only successful procedures on the site which may or may not be the best representation of the doctor's work. You want to see as many pictures as possible.

Just make sure that you are comfortable with the doctor and the procedure before you make your decision, as a face lift can be very hard to undo afterward if you don't like it.
