The world is full of visuals, as you might have observed. As I have observed a lot of times in the process of customer-business owner relationship, sometimes visuals can mean everything. I say this because of a common observation the people turn their attention towards something that is visually enticing, and ignore the ones that are not. With the large number of businesses today, and a number that is still growing, the only way to compete with other businesses and to inform people of new business offers is to advertise.

Effective advertising is dependent on a lot of factors, but mostly on good visuals. Done effectively, printed advertisements can usually have the power to stop people in their tracks and stare at whatever it is that is advertised.

Words are powerful in it, yes, but it is the visuals that will draw people towards it and perpetuate the reading. Done carelessly, printed advertisements become a waste of money. Brochures can be called printed advertisements and informational presentations on print. They are catered to by businesses or even non- profit organizations, to get people to read and be informed. Thus, it is important to make the brochure readable and most importantly, attention-grabbing. For how would one read something if one does not even look at it first? Color is the main element in visuals. Pictures will seem lifeless and words will become boring without the colors that will bring it to life. Because brochures are one of the printed advertisements that businesses usually cater to, making it effective is important. One way to make it effective is to bring it to life with pictures and colors, thus, the term color brochure. Color brochure refers to any type of brochure that is not limited to black and white printing; meaning that it caters to full color printing. Done well, a color brochure is able to draw in potential customers and relay the message in your brochure effectively.

Color brochures are a great way to grab attention; the colors, used wisely, is sure to be an eye-catcher, which will then perpetuate reading. Without reading, there can be no message relayed; without something to perk attention, there can be no reading done. Thus, it is important to make your color brochure do as it should: grab attention.

Color planning and coordination.
The biggest consideration for a color brochure is the colors to be used. You should pick colors that will represent the company even as they stand alone. If your company has a logo, think of the colors to be found in it, or think of the color that people usually associate with your business. Afterwards, you can use this color or set of colors as the dominant theme for your color brochure.

Images should be catchy yet relevant.
I have seen brochures donning beautiful pictures, but with little or no relevance whatsoever to what they are trying to say or their company. I remember laughing and criticizing the brochure. Remember that your color brochure should catch attention, but not in a negative way. Every image that you use should be relevant but should also grab attention.

Good content.
Your color brochure should have a good content that will retain the attention of the reader. If it cannot maintain their interest in reading on, what use will grabbing their interest be? Remember that the abundance of colors in a color brochure is mainly to direct reading. The content will be the one to sustain it.

Color brochures are the ones to go in order create an effective campaign. Just make sure that these color brochures have everything that will catch attention and keep it.
