Are Internet Based MLMs A Scam?

Many would be entreprenuers have heard a lot about Internet based MLM opportunities and since they've probably gotten involved in other Internet opportunities, they want the inside story as to whether they are scams or legitimate opportunities.

First of all, let's look at what Network Marketing (MLM) really is. Network Marketing is a very viable way to build a business. The concept is simple, you get people, they get people...etc. The marketing model is great way to build a long term sustainable income for you and your loved ones.

The problem, as I'm sure you'll agree, is the traditional method of recruiting that you've been taught or have heard about. Everyone has an opinion about Network Marketing and most opinions are based on the outdated method of recruiting. You bug your friends and family to watch a DVD, listen to a tape, read a magazine, get on a 3 way call, or go to a meeting. Sound familiar? The problem here is that NOBODY wants to do this anymore!

You're not a born salesman and it's stressful to do those things. You risk alienating your friends and family and having them avoid you when you call. Besides, it's easier to talk to them about an opportunity when you are already making money with your business than when you are starting out. How can you tell them how much money they can make when you aren't doing it yet? Right? Right.

But this doesn't negate the Network Marketing model. It still works, if you work it. You can still make a fantastic living from home without all the stress and headaches of approaching everyone you know.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could sit in front of your computer at home, build a huge organization, and not bug anyone you know until they see your success and ask YOU about it? Of course it would! The key lies in HOW you market your opportunity. And using established Internet marketing methods is how you do that.

To put it simply, you market your opportunity on the Internet, not face to face.

First of all you need to find a company that has great products and great training to match. It needs to have a truly easy and duplicatable Internet marketing system that your downlines can use.

These companies are out there, you just have to find them. Let's face it, if you can recruit like crazy on the Internet but your downline cannot duplicate what you do, then your organization and income will not grow. Then you'll be back where you started, cursing MLM as a scam because you didn't make any money with it.

Many famous authors (millionires) are now writing articles about the advantages of the Network Marketing model and some go as far as to say that if they lost their fortunes, they would use the Network Marketing model to rebuild. What does that tell you?

The most effective way to make a living with MLM is to find the right company and use tried and true Internet marketing principles to market the opportunity. This method flat out WORKS and you don't have to bug and cajole anyone to go to meetings or do 3 way calls. Your business will grow and flourish and you'll be smiling all the way to the bank!
