What is a niche market and why is it so important to marketers? Niche market, in general refers to a specific group of people who are searching the Internet for a solution to a problem. These people are not finding general solutions. Usually, niche market has a high the demand for the products or services and usually the supply is low. It is important for marketers to know where are the niches because with that knowledge, they can then exploit these areas and profit from it.

Niche areas are very specific area where people are looking for a particular solution to their problem. Niche market is not a large demographic group, a regional group, a social group nor people with a similar trait. Example of niche market are those people who want to build backyard tree houses, people who are trying to train their pet parrots or senior citizens who are trying to correct their golf slice, etc.. So where can you find niche markets?

Firstly, you can make use of a free software called Wordtracker. Assuming that you already know what to market in general. You key in your general keyword into Wordtracker and the software will return a series of related keywords. For example if you key in golf into Wordtracker, you may be able to find the related keyword "senior citizens who are trying to correct their golf slice". You can chose this as your niche market. The results from Wordtracker will show you how may people are searching for your keyword, how many competitors sites are there, and it will also predict the number of times your keyword will be searched for in the next 24 hours. With these information, you can then decide which niche market to focus on.

Secondly, you can go to some discussion forums and listen to their problems. In the forum, you will be able to gather some useful information based on the forum discussions. There was this very successful internet marketing guy whom make a very good marketing campaigned from the discussion forum. In one of the forum, he noticed that people kept asking where can they buy a particular product. This curious marketing guy went into the forum and ask them why they want this particular product and the people in the forum told him the reasons. He analyzed the reasons and eventually he solved the problem for them. He understood their problems and found a solution for them and profit from it.

Most of the time, niche market are not really that 'big market'. But in these niche markets, the people are ready to buy the products if you have them. This is because they really need the products or services to solve their problem. So do not belittle the small little niche market. Based on this fact, to be successful, you will need to develop multiple niche markets.

What you need to do now is to search for a niche market. When you have identify the niche market, you will then do all your background work and market your niche product.

When your first niche marketing is on track, you seek for another niche market. There again, when it is on track, you will kick in the next and the next. The cycle goes on. So you can see, each of the niche market will bring you stream of income and this
will add up. Eventually you will have a comfortable income.

Also, more importantly, if one of your niche areas suddenly collapse, your business will not be shaken since you have multiple niche markets to support you. Therefore, developing multiple stream of niche market is important in maintaining long lasting business online. To automate this progress, you can use software to automate this process for you. This will save you much time in the creation process.
