Achieving Financial Freedom - Why?

Dr. Ellie Drake, of Brave Heart Productions Inc introduced me to the “Five Why Approach”. It led to breakthroughs in my own consciousness about my purpose in life.

The first in this series of articles about achieving financial freedom will speak about my own Five Whys and how they assist me in my goal of achieving financial freedom.

1. Why is achieving financial freedom a primary goal for me?

The best way to help the poor is to not be one of them. Imagine what it felt like when Denzel Washington wrote that check for the housing restoration in New Orleans! ( He was able to respond to a tour of the efforts there by taking a checkbook out of his pocket, asking what a house cost, and drafting the check in that amount, on the spot.)

2. Why is it important to help the poor?

I am grateful for the abundance that is mine. I feel compelled to assist the less fortunate.

3. Why do I feel compelled to assist the less fortunate?

Helping allows me to feel like I am making a difference – like I matter! I have long been drawn to serve others. Instilled my by my family, I have an energetic drive to give back, pull my wieght, carry my share, leave things in better shape than I found them....to make a positive difference. I require the feeling that it mattered I was here.

4. Why is it important to matter?

Because that feeling “completes” me. Without a feeling of having made a difference, I feel a void within. I feel hollow when I contemplate living my entrie life without making a contribution.

5. Why does that feeling of having made a difference “complete” me?

This answer was deep within. Accessing it required a quiet, honest listening to my heart. In my core, I know that we are one. Time has been my friend in teaching me that my connection to others is a function of universal energy. It is my heart’s desire to accomplish for the greater good. I ache when others ache. I am connected. We Are One.

WOW! I encourage my readers to explore this exercise within themselves! You may be surprised by what comes out for you. I was! I spent years stuck trying to earn an “Atta-boy” from someone, before realizing that what really engages my heart is my desire to make a positive impact. This enabled me to diffuse a whole lot of static and chatter surrounding never being quite good enough. *BONUS*

Drill down with the Five Whys, and you will identify what it is for you that will make achieving financial freedom a function of fulfilling your purpose.

Know why you are intent in your commitment to achieving financial freedom, and the means to accomplish it, present themselves in ways you previously have not been able to discern.

Once you establish in your core that failure to achieve financial freedom is NOT one of the options, clarity will be yours on the logistics of the venture. When you live in certainty that what you are striving for IS happening, synchronistic events line up at your door to move you in the direction of your true purpose.

Let us review: Ask yourself:

1. Why am I Achieving Financial Freedom?

2. Why is that?

3. Why is that?

4. Why is that?

5. This is why.

Give this your full focus and you find yourself moving in the direction of this.

Quiet the other chatter and focus on this.

Read about this.

Write about this.

Dream about this.

Go see this.

Brainstorm about this.

Mastermind about this.

Embrace this.

This is what is going to fuel your fire in achieving financial freedom and getting to that place where fulfilling your purpose is what you do because this is your WHY

Focus Upon That “Why”

You are connected to that “Why” by your focus.

Your focus moves you n the direction of that “Why”

Know your “Why” and achieving financial freedom is a natural by-product.

In this series of articles I strive to supply a stand alone piece that is strengthened when read in combination with the others in the series, about my own journey while achieving financial freedom.
