Dreaming Your Direction

I consider myself to be a student of the Law of Attraction at somewhere near an immersion level. I have devoted quite a bit of my consciousness to internalizing the idea that thoughts are things and things carry vibrational frequency that attracts more of the same. I have learned that my reality is absolutely shaped by my sculpted attention to that which most appeals to me. I am not saying that I live there full time and all my problems have vanished. What I AM saying is that the quality of my life has risen dramatically since I took to heart these principles.

In concurrence with this intense study, I have become a student of EFT or "Emotional Freedom Technique." EFT is a technique, developed by Gary Craig, which works on an energetic level to clear the body of energetic disruptions resulting from emotional issues. Gary Craig, and a legion of EFT practitioners have had extremely high success rates in relieving clients of a wide variety of chronic maladies. For further information on EFT, and how it works, I encourage you research Gary Graig’s Emorional Freedom Techniques for yourselves. You will learn of Gary’s experiences with the relief of disturbances ranging from phobias to life-threatening and chronic disorders, and is well worth your time.

In my foray into the world of EFT, my knowledge of the Law of Attraction has been re-enforced very strongly. I am particularly taken by Gary’s explanation of the power of dreaming. He has said that among the most powerful tools in his quiver, and in his habits, is his commitment to "daydreaming." He absolutely encourages us to imagine vividly, and with feeling our desired destinations. Now, here is where it gets really interesting – I would bet that many of my readers here have just experienced some dream stealers, and self-talk along the lines of "Dreaming big is a good way to get your heart broken." The point that Mr. Graig makes, which impacted me so strongly is:

When we dream, we head in the direction of our dream.

Every child who dreams of an Olympic medal may not realize a moment on the winner’s podium, however the odds are greatly enhanced that they will move in the direction of self-discipline, healthy eating, building the strength their sport requires, committed training…. the list goes on. Consider carefully the idea that, whereas dreams do not come "True" 100% of the time, they always move us in the direction of our desires, and the benefit of that shift in direction makes an incredible difference in or lives.

To quote Ellie Drake, "Small subtle shifts in the hidden base of a snow-covered mountain create the necessary momentum for an avalanche. I now choose to consistently create subtle shifts along the way."

So…., put aside that inner voice that admonishes you for being a dreamer, and know that when you indulge yourself in the joy and the feeling of imagining what most appeals to you, you are making a shift in your direction. Even if you fall short of the presidency, the Academy award, the Pulitzer Prize, landing on Mars, playing center-field for the NY Yankees, or becoming the next Oprah Winfrey, you have adopted qualities that contribute greatly to your own ability to achieve a more rewarding existence!

In the words of Mark Victor Hansen, "Have BIG, Hairy, Audacious Dreams!"

Passionately indulge yourself in what they feel like, as though they are today’s reality. Allow Yourself HUGE Dreams, and remember always:

We Are What We Focus Upon!

Our Focus Is Our Connection With Our Future!

We Can Not Help Moving In The Direction Of Our Focus!
