Online Business Blogging, Article Writing, Squidoo and Relevant Content

One of the age old problems webmasters face is how to promote their site cheaply and make money online with their online business. And while PPC is a great, cheap way to promote your site to a highly targeted niche, some of the best ways to promote your site are actually free!

Whether you've got an information site, or niche site to promote, you'll find that the following methods are some of the best ways to produce interested traffic that is itching to hand over their email addresses, or money for your products. There are no better ways available to make money online with your online business than by following these steps.

Article marketing
Article marketing can give you an amazing amount of traffic, but only if you use it right. You should make sure the content you're submitting is easily understandable, and only covers one or two points, leading the people back to your site with your bio. Probably most importantly, you need to make sure that your article is interesting, compelling, and of course, informative.

Once you've submitted these articles to several article directories, you'll probably see a marked rise in back links, traffic and more, but this can take several weeks. The trick is to be patient and while waiting for your articles to work get going on the other methods of driving traffic.

Blogging
Blogging is a free way to make sure that you're reaching traffic in all regions of your niche. Blogging has come up in stature from its days of being simply a place to 'share' with your friends and is now a valid, and often well used promotional structure for a web site or even a basis for the site itself. Using Wordpress especially can mean that you've got an easy to promote, amazingly simple to update site structure that allows you to build and maintain a site effortlessly.

As a traffic generation tool, it's also a good way to create, maintain and direct traffic to your site and is amazingly simple to use. You can blog about things relating to your site, and link back, or use articles, from your article marketing pursuits as part of your blog. You can even blog about your holiday!

Squidoo
Squidoo is another form of blogging that should be used to promote your website or affiliate site. In squidoo the content is called a lens. You can support movies, links and products on your lens but beware that squidoo has tight regulations on what is considered allowable content and they will lock your lens if it comes across as being too promotional for your website or affiliate site.

Content
Whilst on the subject of content it is important that we maintain informative content or self improvement content so that our articles, blogs or lens can be seen as helping people learn about what your article is focused on.

To keep focused on content I use the following technique: First I write down a headline for the article thinking of keywords that I want to promote. Second I write between three and seven key points related to the headline. Third I write two to four sentences about each key point. Then I write a conclusion mentioning all the key points.

There is so much to learn on the internet that it seems pointless not taking notes and then writing about it. If you feel the same way then you may do well at blogging, article writing or squidoo. Even if we can develop one of these areas to begin with it is a way of moving forward.

Article writing, blogging and squidoo lenses are all great ways to add content to your website and inform your readers of a subject related to your website or affiliate site. The content of this media has to be relevant, informative or help people with self improvement or their business objectives.
