Is A Business Mentor Necessary?

Have you wondered if a business mentor is of any good in the technology age? Have you referred to Google for answers to all your early business questions?

As human beings, mistakes are inevitable. There is a 100% chance that one will make more than a hand full of mistakes in a lifetime. Because of this unfortunate fact, you, as an ambitious business man, I presume, cannot afford to make avoidable mistakes.

One avoidable mistake you can make is to get into any kind business without a business mentor. The following are 3 Top reasons why a business mentor is necessary.

1. Business Opinion Overflow

The internet cannot be your business mentor. Making it a business mentor has put lots of people in a deeper hole than they thought they were before they attempted business. There are so much information thrown at you by the internet that it definitely gets confusing. Really, that blame does not belong to the internet.

Just imagine how much opinions are out there about franchises when you ask a couple of friends. Even non-experienced people in business have opinions about franchise business. Aspiring business men will most likely Google information about the kind of business they are interested in. It is undeniably a good starting point to research but the purpose is exactly that; to do your research.

A business mentor will often have the same opinion about a subject; all other things being equal. The opinion will be unique to their experience. Believe it or not, every experienced entrepreneur on the planet has a unique journey. Apparently, they cannot be blamed for the opinion over flow.

It is your responsibility to filter and personalize your business style; even when you have a business mentor. Having one business mentor narrows your opinion funnel down to one person's experience and it becomes less confusing.

A business mentor program will be an exception to this rule since it is a program governed by the same collected unique system. There are set rules by the business mentor system to follow.

It is vital that mentoring comes mainly from one entity or one source. Note the word mainly. It is still your responsibility to pay attention and learn from everyone and everything else.

2. Social and Business Network Made Easy

Since your business mentor is experienced, they most likely know lots of business colleagues who can also be minor or occasional business mentor to you. Your can learn from the best. Often your circle of social acquaintances will change. They become close friends all because of your one main business mentor.

It is even better when it is a business mentor program. Usually, it is a well organized set of successful people that you can learn from. There are more than enough options for you to choose the business mentor for your personal contact. You will benefit socially because it is also true in the world of success that birds of the same feather flock together.

Why would a business mentor be willing to teach you for free? Many will mentor you as a form of giving back. It is naturally in the sprit of successful people to give back. You will become some ones business mentor one day and realize how good it feels to pull someone up. Hint: Many more will love to be your business mentor if they see you as potential lead generator.

3. Business Mentor Relationship Has No Trust Issue

In conclusion, a business mentor is not trying to sell a product or service to you. You most likely do not have anything they want; material or money. You pose no threat to them as a competition in their business. They are already dimmed a successful business man. Even if you generate lead for him/her, all they are going to teach you is how to generate more leads. Because of these reasons, there are almost no chances of trust issues.

Having a business mentor is a form of leverage. One of the most important concepts you will always need as a business man is leveraging in every aspect of life. You are mortal human and you cannot do multiple things at a time efficiently except by leveraging.

Why don't you start from leveraging knowledge and experience by choosing a business mentor? If you do not have successful business man around you, you can start from a business mentor program. You will meet successful people and have multiple opportunities to choose a good business mentor. That is leveraging knowledge and experience.
