How To Discover Hot Selling Items You Can Earn Extra Money With On EBay Or With Craigslist Ads!
If you're looking for hot selling items to earn extra money with on eBay or with free Craigslist ads or if you're already selling on these sites, then here are some of my best tips and a few things you should know.
You hear all the time about the success people are having by finding and selling one or more items but you don't know if you'll have the same luck or not.
The old saying goes, "nothing ventured nothing gained" and I've used it many times for many ventures I've had. Doing nothing gets you nothing. Yes it takes a little work but you can do it. I've accidentally discovered many items myself not listed anywhere as "hot sellers."
I've seen people list things like a few used lipsticks in a lot for a few dollars. This is a waste of time! Sure you MAY be able to sell a few of those items that way but your time is worth much more than that. You want to go for items that will make you enough profit. At least $20-$25 PROFIT- in your pocket - after fees and shipping on each item!
So if you're just listing little things that gain you just a little profit it's not worth your time and energy. Focus on items that you'll be listing on eBay or with Craigslist ads for more money and you'll have more of a chance for a bigger profit. No fees with free Craigslist ads either!
I've found quite a few of the same timeless items that sell over an over. This is almost like having your own product.
Another tip - don't waste your time on selling new items like electronics to earn extra money. The big boys are listing on eBay now and it's hard to compete with them. Yes there are exceptions like some items that you find new in a package but forget new electronics and any new popular items - there is too much competition.
Instead focus on one-of-a-kind items, tools, household equipment, office items, collectibles, shoes, some types of clothing, auto parts, etc. Think outside the box. Don't go for the 'hot seller' lists. They may have too much competition. There are hundreds of possibilities. You may have to test over and over again.
Look around for about 10 items in your house, office and garage that you think people might use. You want to list at high prices so you get a good enough profit to earn extra money or to start up or set up a small business. It can be anything for this test. Then go to eBay to "advanced search" - use "all categories". Check the search title and description box and show "completed listings". Look for the green "sold" items.
Search for each one and see if there are a few other listings for it that have sold. If there are none, it may not be a good item to list or there may be no interest. If there are too many that may not be good either. But if you check enough items you'll discover, even accidentally, ones that will work and make you more money. You can find these hot items over and over with a little effort.
Then type in the items on free Craigslist ads and see if there are any running. If there are a lot of ads then it may be a good item to sell there.
Once you become an expert on an item you can scan Craigslist and eBay and look for the item. It may be underpriced.
You can earn extra money or start up a small business and work from home and list, sell and ship the items you've discovered. You can make it a full time business as many have if you work at it. Make sure to try running free Craigslist ads also.
