Time management skills are essential to success. Your time is probably limited, especially in the beginning, so you need to make the most of the time you dedicate to your business.

The key to success is an effective time management system. You must structure your time and plan out your activities in advance. Establishing your work schedule, the hours you work each day, is absolutely critical.

While it's true that working from home gives you time flexibility, you still want to make your home business successful. There's no value in working from home if your business isn't turning a profit. And your income must be steady and predictable if you want your home business to provide a full-time income.

Applying Your Time Management Plan

A successful networking marketing internet business owner uses a sound time management plan consistently. Following are some guidelines that will help you improve your business.

1. Plan your daily work schedule for the week. This is one of the most important steps that you must take when you are starting an MLM business.

If your work schedule is every evening from 7-9, and your son has a baseball game one evening, then you must reschedule that work time later in the week. If you are budgeting 20 hours per week for your business, then you must be sure you schedule 20 hours for work each week.

2. Once you have scheduled your work time, you must stick to it. Nothing should interrupt your work time, so tell your family what your work schedule is. Ask for their support by respecting your schedule and not interrupting you during "work hours." You too must take responsibility to follow your schedule so that you can achieve maximum productivity.

3. Make sure that you have no distractions while you are following this schedule. Turn off your phone and don't watch television while you are working. The goal is maximum efficiency. Especially when you're doing creative work, like blog posts and writing articles, you don't want to interrupt the flow of your creative juices.

4. Your work schedule for the week should be set beforehand and shouldn't change. Each day at the end of your work time, make a list of the 3 most important items that need to be accomplished next.

Prioritize the items from most important to least. Items directly related to generating income are always the highest priority. It's important to consistently make income-producing activities your top priority. This becomes your To Do list for tomorrow.

5. You could also find an accountability coach or mentor and report your progress to them. Make sure that this person is someone that you respect and have a good relationship with. Also, make sure it is someone you don't want to let down. And don't forget to celebrate your successes!
