Say, YES to Financial Freedom! Being a Business Woman & Entrepreneur working in a $17 Billion Industry, which is one of the fastest growing Home-Based Businesses in America, I have to stay focused! Running a business from home offers many benefits, but there are pitfalls as well.

The productivity lessons you learn from working in Corporate America still applies to Home-Based Businesses. However, being consistent & persistent with a Daily Mode of Operation is a productive business, which will ultimately lead to Financial Freedom!

I’d like to share Five practical, yet powerful “Key” Ingredients to having a well-managed & productive Home-Based Business:

1. Laser Focused: When you’re working your business, always remember that what you focus on is what you’ll get more of. Therefore, focused energy creates results! So, you want to be crystal clear on Income Producing things = Productivity versus Non-Income Producing things = Activity! Financial Freedom does not equal Activity!

2. Prioritize Your Day: Are you prioritizing your day with Activity or Productivity? Let’s take a look at this more in-depth. Some examples of Activity are ~ getting ready to get ready to make calls; straightening your desk; organizing your files; dusting; cleaning; taking frequent breaks; etc. And, examples of Productivity are ~ making calls; scheduling follow-up appointments; doing 3-way calls with your business associates; asking for the sale; scheduling orientation with new business associates, etc. Make the commitment to prioritize your day & spend most of your time being consistent with Productivity versus Activity. This is another key ingredient to the road to success!

3. Set Daily Goals: As you plan your day, set the goals that you want to accomplish. Are you setting goals in advance or the same day? When you set goals in advance, you’ll know what’s ahead & you’re better prepared. Also, by setting them the night before, it will impact your subconscious mind on a deeper level. It’s like having your goals recorded in your mind & the body will follow. However, if you like to set goals the same day, that’s okay too. Do what works best for you. Also, if you don’t complete your list of goals, it’s very important NOT to beat yourself up about it. The key is to add those goals to the TOP of your list for the next day.

4. Avoid Procrastination: Once again, the goals you don’t accomplish from the prior day add them to the TOP of your list for the next day & give yourself permission to be okay with it. Noticed I said, add them to the TOP of your list, right? This way you’re avoiding procrastination. Plan to accomplish those goals at the beginning of the next day versus pushing them down towards the end of your work day. Does this sound familiar? This usually happens when you’re trying to avoid the goal at hand, right? Well, let’s choose to change this today, so you’ll be more productive and create the success you truly deserve!

5. Ask for Assistance: Sometimes you might feel overwhelmed with things that need to get done & you have no clue how it’s going to get done. Learn how to ask for help and delegate. Make the decision to ask for assistance & delegate before things get out of control. If you find that you have too much work for one person and your productivity levels are slipping, ask friends or family for temporary help until you can regain control of your schedule. It’s okay to ask for help while focusing on achieving Financial Freedom!

In closing, when you commit to consistent “Productivity” versus “Activity” and apply these simple, yet powerful “Key” Ingredients to your Daily Mode of Operation, you’ll create a Productive & Profitable Home-Based Business, which will ultimately lead to Financial Freedom!
