Starting a Home Based Business Can Be More Dangerous than Taking on 7’0,’ 326 lb Kane in World Wrestling.

Ever Google your name to see what happens? I typed in “Glen Jacobs”. Well to my surprise there were about 90 pages of various sites dedicated to ME!. I was pretty excited.

However, the excitement was short-lived. It didn’t take long to discover I’m not on many of those hundreds of pages. Instead most of the pages are for Glen Thomas Jacobs, AKA Kane, Isaac Yankem, Unabomb, New Diesel, The Christmas Creature and lets not forget, Doomsday, the professional wrestler. I am not an avid wrestling fan, so I had no idea there was such a person(s).

Although not what I was hoping for, the sites did prove entertaining. And, it doesn’t take long to see that Glen Jacobs and Glen Jacobs have virtually nothing in common beyond or first and last names.

Kane, is 7’0”. I feel that I am 5’9”. Kane weighs 326 lbs. I believe that I weigh 165 lbs. I know my Dr. is supposed to be the expert, but I believe she mistakenly stated that I was now only 5’8” tall and weighed 176 lbs. I was looking for leaner and meaner, not shorter and fatter.

Kane was born in 1967, I was born in 1960. However, I think I have the distinct advantage of being born in 1960, as opposed to 1967, because it is easier for me to figure out how old I am, without a calculator.

Kane was a college basketball player (an All-American), a college football player and a professional wrestler. Me, not so much!

Something that I do better than him….apparently he has to actually shave his head to be bald.

Something we have in common, his forearms and my chest have the same circumference. Another thing we have in common is that apparently over the last few years, Kane has been transitioning from one career into another.
His world is moving from the world of SmackDown, Royal Rumble, and WrestleMania, to movies and television. My world has been moving from the professional world as a commercial real estate appraiser, into the world of an Internet/home based business entrepreneur.

Now being 7’0” and 326 lbs. the other Glen Jacobs probally has some terrific natural physical advantages in the world of basketball, football and professional wrestling over many of his team mates and opponents, which accounts for much of his success.

Although I have never spoken to him, I would imagine he would tell you that a lot more has gone into his success, than a sheer overpowering physical presence: although that would seem enough if he were chasing me down!

I think Kane would tell you a lot about the rigors of training, practice, dedication, and sacrifice. There would likely be reference to persistent and consistent steps taken each day to achieve his goals. I think he would even tell you about the indispensable value of a good coach.

Entrepreneurial success takes many of the same characteristics as athletic success. Training, practice, dedication, sacrifice, and good coaching.

In my journey to success there have been many days were taking on Kane in a professional wrestling match would have been preferred to learning and persevering in an attempt to master Internet marketing, a very formidable opponent that has claimed many victims over the years.

However, I now think I have the edge over Kane. I’ve had a good mentor and coach, and I now have the new Web 2.0 Beta marketing systems that are propelling myself and many new entrepreneurs to very rapid and unparalleled success using the elite best online business opportunities.

The learning curve is being eliminated by systems that have removed most of the human elements that have historically caused most home business to fail. Few are born salesmen or marketers.
Now these marketing sites have developed marketing funnels that can promote, recruit and sell, before ever having to come in contact with a potential client or teammate. By the time you do make contact to build you relationship, you often have a paying customer or teammate already on board.

Just like a professional wrestler or any other athlete you need a good coach or business development partner to get, and keep you at the top of your game. If your business has been struggling, or are if you are contemplating staking out your own piece of Internet real estate and becoming a successful entrepreneur, a good coach who has your best interest at the forefront of his or her efforts, is most commonly the missing link.
