Principles Of Success In Nlp

NLP is a fantastic technology which is all about expanding your life by giving you more choices, allowing you to learn quicker and become the person that you want to be. NLP is not magic however. There are certain principles that if you followed you would benefit from using NLP techniques. If, whenever you are using NLP you use the below principles then you cannot go far wrong.

1st Principle of Success

What is your outcome? Essentially why are you using the NLP technique? What do you want to achieve? It is essential that you have a very clear vision of what you want to achieve and why you are doing what you are doing. If you have only half formed hazy ideas then it’s certain that you will lack focus or worse still get all sorts of results that you were not actually looking for.

2nd Principle of Success

This one seems self evident. Take action. As mentioned before NLP is a fantastic technology but its not magic – its not going to aid you in achievement if you don’t take action. If you do take action then NLP will speed up your development and cut the time it would usually take.

3rd Principle of Success

You need to know whether or not your action is taking you closer to what you want. This is connected to the first principle – if you don’t know what you want then you will have no idea of whether or not you have got it. Take action then evaluate whether or not it is taking you in the direction that you want to go.

4th Principle of Success

If your actions and behaviour are not getting you any closer to what you want then you need to be flexible enough to change either your behaviour or the outcomes you are looking for.

5th Principle of Success

You can have a very clear idea of what you want, be taking action to get what you want and have the ability to evaluate whether or not your actions are taking you closer to what you want but if you don’t feel good about it then the chances are you will not reach your target. You need to ensure that you are operating from a state of resourcefulness when achieving your goals

If you want an analogy to remember the above principles by then consider a guided missile. First of all the missile will have been programmed with a target. It will then be launched and sent on its way towards the target. As it goes towards the target its internal computer will be constantly evaluating its height, speed and direction ensuring that it is heading in the right direction. Now the missile is a machine granted but nothing is going to stop it from achieving its target.

Sit down now and think of a goal – it doesn’t have to be big – it can be something very simple – one of those every day things that you never get round to doing. Go through the above principles.

These are fundamental success principles and on any good NLP practitioner course you could seriously ramp up your skill levels in any of these areas. For example:

Imagine you had a goal setting formula that was so powerful that you just had to think of a result that you wanted and your unconscious mind was already solidly working to get you there creating behaviours, habits and beliefs that support your goal.

How about you had a process that allowed you to model and learn skills in half the time it normally took. If your goals involve new learning or skills development this could expand your results very quickly.

There is also a lot to say about having emotional control to feel motivated whatever the situation, stay focused whatever the distractions and feel good even if the results you are getting are less than ideal.

Any good NLP course will give you tools for all of these areas. If you had this skill set imagine what happens to your success formula when you put it into place.
