How To Fund Multi Level Marketing Using Affiliate Marketing
I am convinced that in multi level marketing, the two most important things your business needs are the following:-
Increased cash flow for your business and more leads.
Let's begin with leads and traffic.
You see, whilst getting leads is still very important, and will no doubt affect your potential profitability, getting leads that don't transform into sales are about as useful as window shoppers. Fingers crossed they may come into your store to browse your products, but then if they don't see anything good in the 'window' then they probably won't. Therefore, if no-one is buying your products, how do you pay your overheads such as monthly rent? You would be better off closing your business down rather that wasting time and money trying to keep it alive.
The network marketing business works on very similar principles as opening your own shop or restaurant:
- If you market physical products you will need to purchase goods every month or pay for your monthly auto-ship. Now opportunities with auto-ships may be a double edged sword. You are committed to pay monthly as are your downlines (and that obviously will produce a monthly income for you). A program without an enforced auto-ship will also work, however in order for your business volume to grow the number of sales need to increase consistently. In essence, you have to spend money to buy products; otherwise, how would you expect your downline to do so.
- You will also need to pay for fixed expenses such as rent and mileage. It is very important that you manage your day to day expenses. Many network marketers get so hung up about their business that they become oblivious to the fact that they have to manage these expenses and then they give up because they run out of money.
- It is also important that you purchase training materials as well. This is essential in order to move forward as a leader. Books, tapes, CDs, DVDs and seminar tickets are all expensive in the short term, but investments that will pay off in the longer term.
At the end of the day, you must have cash flow otherwise you can't succeed in multi level marketing.
Lets look at how to keep the cash flow regular. The first two ways are the most obvious, while the third way has a lot of potential and is certainly worth exploring.
1. Recruiting new downlines who then purchase the starter pack is obviously one of the surefire ways to keep the cash flow coming in. You can also cash in on their monthly auto-ship and other related purchases.
2. Retailing - selling your company's products to your consumers will clearly produce a regular income.
3. Affiliate marketing - this is an excellent way to profit from your leads or prospects even if they do not fall into the two categories above.
When you engage in affiliate marketing, your aim as a network marketer is to market a low-cost, generic information product about network marketing or multi level marketing. Everyone needs information, especially information that anyone can use therefore appeals to the largest target market due to its low cost and high demand.
The better affiliate programs will potentially pay you between 40% to 75% to market other people's information products. Just because your prospects do not sign up with you or buy your products, you might introduce them to another opportunity or sale, who wouldn't want to benefit from that?
It goes without saying, you can make serious money by driving search engine traffic, forum traffic, Facebook or MySpace traffic. You may even bring people to your blog by marketing affiliate products for cash flow to keep your business afloat. Who knows, those customers may well turn into your downlines some day.
