Internet Conference Calls Conquer Time, Space, and Distance

If you could put 200 of your prospects in the same room at the same time on a regular basis, your business would never be the same again. Everyone knows that the most effective way to achieve maximum exposure to your market in the most effective way is through group events of one kind or another. The most efficient way to do group events was over the phone via conference calls.

To be successful, however the people you invite to a traditional conference call or to the new breed of Internet conference calls, must be the right people who are there for the right reasons. You probably don't want people who will never be your customer taking up space in the room even if it's a virtual room, a competitor for example - someone simply doing a little competitive research among your prospects.

If the cost of getting them in the room is less that the potential revenues they may generate - you will be successful if you can do Internet conference calls often enough and with enough people in attendance. Unless they are ready, willing, and able to do business with you - why would you want to invest your resources to get them there?

Internet conference calls are cheap to set up, manage, and deliver - but unless the participants are actually interested in what you have to say, why would you want them there in the first place? You may not be wasting as much money as you would be wasting inviting the wrong people to an in-person event, but you're still wasting money if your list is not well targeted.

So, getting the right people to your Internet conference calls is job one. The first part of the equation is your list, people who already know, like, and trust you and who can and will buy what you are selling, if your product or service will satisfy their objectives. When you start with the right list you're well on your way to a successful online event.

Without a pre-registration requirement for your Internet conference calls, there is no risk to anyone in telling everyone they know who might be even potentially interested in attending it. If the Internet conference call system you are using does not require attendees to register in advance or opt-in to your prospect list, the influential people on your list will be much more likely to tell others about it.

For instance, someone who is not a decision maker but who has the ability to influence a decision maker - can pass along the invitation without having to worry that the decision maker, often someone they do not want to offend, will become part of someone's marketing list.

Internet conference calls, most of the audio presentations and virtually all of the webinar based programs I've seen require passwords and download permission in order to attend.I really don't know if this is a necessary requirement or if it's just a clever way to get us on their lists. Often we have to give up our contact information in order to download access to the event before we are actually sure we are interested in attending it.

These Internet conference calls create unnecessary friction between the event's organizers and the very people they want to attract. Sales and marketing professionals know that when you introduce friction, ask for money, make people jump through hoops, etc. - before they are ready to take action, they'll just delete your message and never call you back.

If you've started with the right list of the right people and you let them know that they can easily invite the other influencers and decision makers in their organization anonymously - your Internet conference calls end up having several people from each of your prospect's companies, all there together.

Your message reaches each of them at the exact same time, so nothing is lost in translation. Your contact, the person you invited to begin with, will not have to remember every detail on their own - plus every question and its answer whether or not it is one they would have ever thought of asking.

It just makes sense, Internet conference calls that are easily accessible by each person you want to be there, simply by going to a regular web page - will increase attendance, which leverages the value of getting the right people there in the first place.

And if a recorded-live audio and/or video is available for those who could not make it, or for the prospect's follow up discussions leading to more informed business decisions - more and better quality sales will result.

Buying decisions made by the right people, who have all the information first hand that they need to consider all their options - will be more profitable customers.Buying decisions made by the right people, who have all the information first hand that they need to consider all their options - will be more profitable customers.
