Getting a good salary is important - that's the reason most people work, to make money. If you are a college graduate, you can expect your salary to be higher than that of a high school graduate. Remember to look at the benefits that you would be getting. Check to see if the company is offering insurance, a company car, a company expense account or a great savings plan. If it is, then you have a great job offer.

Do not always look at just the salary while judging the job offer. It is definitely an important criteria, but it isn't the only one. Keep in mind the potential for growth - this will help in the long run. Check into the company policy for performance reviews and raises, and how soon you can expect to get a promotion. All these things are important to consider when considering a job offer.

You also have to consider the kind of job you are taking. Is it something you will enjoy doing? Is it something that interests you? Is it something that you can easily learn to do?
