So you've decided to buy a dune buggy. You have had a dune buggy before, you're new to the sport, and it looks great. It's time to get involved and buy yourself a dune buggy. But before you get out there and buy there's a few things you need to consider.

The first thing is to decide if you're going to buy, or build. Now for most people that's not an issue. It takes a lot of time and money and skill to build a buggy, it's not something that you tackle lightly. And if it's your first buggy you might be better buying one and getting to know a little more. And if you don't know it now you're going to need to get started on learning the basics of mechanics. You don't have to be an expert but if you're into dune buggies you're going to be working on motors, so start learning. It's fun and it's a part of the sport.

This may all sound a bit basic to the seasoned buggy drivers out there, but for the person just looking to get into the sport there are some basic questions to answer. Do your homework.
