I prefer the term "humonkey" to homo sapiens--"Man, The Wise" is very pretentious. Are we really so different from other apes? Sure, less hair, but genetics verifies that chimpanzees are far more closely related to us than they are to any other species, including gorillas.

With or without fur coats, we are genetically apes, and all modern "great" apes are known to fashion tools. As to when our species began and Homo Erectus/Ergaster ended, there is no hard point in time. Every generation is slightly different from from the one that came before. The miracle of God's Creation is that every living being on this planet is FAMILY. If we can ever truly embrace this one amazing truth, we can set aside so much fear and ignorance.
