How To Get Fee Long Distance Phone Service
Tags: voip, broadband phone, long distance, home phone service
Do you have broadband Internet service? Are you using your computer to make long distance phone calls? If you said yes to both of these questions, I just need to ask one more question. Wouldn't you rather use your home phone to make free long distance phone calls? Of course you would! Who wouldn't? As long as you have DSL or Cable Internet service, you can get a real Internet phone service plan and never pay a dime for long distance phone calls within the United States, Canada, and even a few other countries. How you ask? With Internet phone service, or more specifically, broadband phone. Don't be confused by the name. A common misconception is that you'll have to use, or have your computer running to use broadband phone service. Not true my friend! Your computer can be completely shut down, and you don't need it at all to use your telephone with broadband phone service. No more headphones, no more typing in phone numbers, just use any touch tone telephone to make and receive phone calls the same way you always have.
How is this possible? You may be shocked by this but, you're essentially cutting out the middle man to transfer your incoming and outbound phone calls with a tiny black box that does the same job your traditional phone company has always charged you for. It 's called a broadband phone adapter. The broadband phone adapter uses your Internet connection, (not your computer) to send your calls out to the same grid your traditional phone company uses to transfer phone calls! By cutting out the middle man, (your phone company) you're also cutting out a huge chunk of your phone bill.
So how do I get free long distance? With an unlimited calling plan of course! You may already have unlimited local and long distance phone service through your traditional phone company, but how much are you paying? 40 dollars? 50 dollars? I personally paid 80 dollars a month with MCI 's neighborhood plan after all of the taxes and charges. But what if you could get unlimited local calls, plus free unlimited long distance phone calls anywhere in the United States for under 20 bucks, and no more than 25 bucks after taxes and fees? The phone company you have right now probably charges more than that just for local phone service!
Here 's where it gets good. Not only is your long distance free with an unlimited broadband phone service plan, but so are all of the calling features you love like *69, voice mail, caller ID, call forwarding, call waiting, and three way calling. I have seen over 30 free calling features with some broadband phone companies! You can even pick your area code, or have an additional virtual number in a different area code so friends and family who live within that area code can call you for free. You can even keep your existing phone number if you want when you switch to broadband phone service.
911 a concern? It shouldn't be! Not anymore. All broadband phone companies are now required by U.S. law to provide 911 service. Most broadband phone companies are now moving to enhanced 911 which doesn't work exactly the same as traditional 911 service, but connects you to the nearest emergencie center for your area code. If you're concerned about 911 calls, just make sure your broadband phone company has enhanced 911. Quality a concern? It shouldn't be. If anything, since you'll be using your high speed Internet connection to send and receive calls, the quality of those calls are often times superior to that of traditional analog phone service.
So stop paying for long distance! Keep that money in your wallet, and use voip with broadband phone service to make your local and long distance phone calls. Talk as long as you want and never ever get a cent per minute charge for long distance ever again. Even at half a cent per minute you're paying too much for long distance phone calls when you could be making those call absolutely free. What are you waiting for? You're phone bill isn't getting any smaller. Is it?
