Chinese Antiques, Ming's, Delicate Things - While Wrecking Ball Swings

Chinese antiques are being buried, bulldozed over, ground into dust, looted by excavation crews and others; permits to report artifacts ignored on a scale unknown in history. With it's need for two more power plants each week now, China's mountain valleys where millions now live, and for thousands of years have buried their ancestors are being moved off their farms for new power plants or hydro dams. Now, some ancient grave souls are lifting as the waters rise, creating potential for immense pollution and climate change in this area.

The very populated valley up river pours it's unfiltered sewage into the Yangtze above the Three Gorge Dam, and that will be the water you drink in Beijing soon, through a tunnel under the river of dirty and steaming with pollution Yellow river in the desert north. As for those families who farm those valleys, the army "helps" the families off their ancestral home lands, and try to make a new life up the side slopes where landslides occur especially with the changing polluted septic water level. Or they are sent to populate Tibet with coastal Han Chinese.

So you as a small farmer and your neighbors are either moved, if you are alive, or your grave flooded over for a mighty dam for the growing needs of expanding Chinese industry. Science does worry that some of those who had died may have suffered ancient diseases or plagues now unknown. time will tell. But is there any way for us to slow down this heartless behemoth? Yes, there is. While they bulldoze their precious heritage, buy up what you can while it is still at such bargains.

They are not making any more precious Chinese antiques from these new smoke emitting factories, just fakes for us. But when they have matured beyond their cellphones supplied by the government to track everyone, buying up shoes and cars and building freeways, now is the time, buy low, sell high, buy up their Chinese antigues now and hold them a decade or more: the longer you hold, the higher the price. As in Japan decades ago, when new wealth get so rich they start buying up our treasures because we buy stuff we do not need and is likely lead lined. Use your brain, in fact force it to place a line in your mind of an investment in some past rising empire.

As example, if you had purchased Japanese ant1que art in 1960, and imagine it's value today. China is on that early trajectory, and as my first purchase of real estate in 1961 for $11,500 had me work my way up to selling my seaside inn in 2004 for $2,100,000 so some times it is wise to be the thinker, who looks into the future now. But unlike many, takes action. Clear your mantle, Mickey, you have a Ming or two, or a dozen or more, that decades from now, when some new rich Chinese Susie Wong wants back her great grand mother's set of Chinese antiques.

Lo and behold, she finds them on the net, right there on your mantle. When she tries to hide her eagerness, be inscrutable. "Kowtow" means bow before the Emperor. So, kowtow deeper than her, pump her ego and imply she can afford this, then add three zeros to what you paid, or four. Whatever she says, until it is yes, you do not understand. About time, you St George or Lady Georgina, get your own back at the Dragon. Take some smoke out of his or her breathe.

Let lead head Ned be in the line at discount city with the huge buggy in the huge line for the new Chinese fakes. Which the Neds do not need and will try to sell at a garage sale in a few years but find many other Neds were in that same huge buggy line. Not you; in your comfy slippers, you were on the Chinese antiques net sites, sipping your tea, ignoring the trafic and the fat guy with the huge buggy of junk.

In this wonderful new net world, you simply click on, be amazed; Chinese antiques still at these prices. Imagine how many more you wished you had bought now, a decade from now. Practice your bow, and how to kowtow.

But first you need to have what they will want, which you somehow can trace history and know. For some time, but not forever, new Chinese are busy with their cellphones and masks to their faces for the Iron Lung Olympics. Stay home, modern China is worthy of a pass. But Chinese antiques are going to become more rare and more precious. These as you can afford you should collect while you can for your future retirement security in this uncertain world. Go with what is as certain as the sun rising in the east. Marco Polo had it; he kowtowed so low every time he needed, left with the blessings and notes for safe passage back to Venice. If you practice this with your eventual Oriental buyer, your lower bow implies their superior rank: it places them in a moral position to grant or deny your request. With Marco and the Mighty Khan, the deep kowtow to the Khan usually got him his way; try it.

So, this deeper kowtow makes you as the lesser advisor Confucious before the Emperor, which improves your status greatly. Any request makes it easier for the emperor to grant the modest request of this humble servant, which was usually then received and granted. In other words, make that empress pay, Marco. Happy kowtow, and the riches to flow.
