Great Reasons to Home School Your Child

It is not easy for parents to home school the child. But once you begin it, you will realize the immense benefits of home schooling and would feel pleased with your decision that you took for your child, yourself and your family as a whole. There are many reasons for which you would like to consider the option of home schooling your child. To begin with, your child gets one to one attention, which is not possible if you send him to a public school. Also, you can tailor the course according to your child's needs, which only you know better.

Your child learns your social and moral values when he/she gets home schooling. You become not only his/her parent, but also his/her mentor and teach him/moral and social values that you too believe in, which he will not get to learn in school, away from you. A strong bond between other family members and your child builds up when you opt for home schooling for your child. This is because of the fact that your child spends more time with other members of the family, which he/she could not have spent if he/she spent majority of the day at school.

If your child is one who cannot handle peer pressure, then home schooling is the best option for him/her. When your child undergoes home schooling, he/she is in his comfort group and this helps elevate his/her personal integrity. Again home schooling lets him to socialize at his/her time and also according to the suitable timings of entire family. This not only lets the entire family to spend quality time with each other but also brings the child closer to other members of the family thus making him/her sensitive about many issues and also breaking his/her inhibition of talking with people of different age groups.

Home schooling stands out to be very good option for those children who are labeled as "children with learning difficulties", though actually what they need is a different approach to learning. Infact, it has been scientifically proven that those children who undergo home schooling score better grades and academic success than those who go to public schools. Also, they have better social skills as they spend time not only studying but also with family and other social groups.

Spending valuable time with social groups help your child to become aware of social issues and helps him/her face everyday life more practically, which would not have been possible, if he/she was sent in public school. It helps them to comprehend the big picture more perfectly. Also, children who undergo home schooling develop fewer negative coping behavior patterns like name-calling, sarcastic way of talking, bullying others, being overtly fashion conscious, flirting, etc. They also exhibit a better spirit of fair play. Children who undergo home schooling are more social and tend to include children from social groups within their friend circle. They do not behave in a very cliched manner as children from public schools do.

Though this should not be a reason for you to opt for home schooling for your child, yet it would be interesting for you to know that you save $9000 dollars per year per child if you opt out of state governed education system for your child. It is very clear that children who undergo home schooling are better than their public school counterparts in every domain; be it studies or being social or inheriting family values.
