From Wags To Riches Via A Luxury Watch

Mia had long had the ambition of being rich. She didn't quite know how she was going to get their but she just knew she wanted it. There was no plan, such as going to university, getting a degree, training and working to earn her that wealth, she just wanted to acquire it.

Mummy and daddy were already funding a lifestyle far beyond what her peers could afford, including such things as designer clothes and luxury watches, and along with her attitude that she had already made the big time, it was costing her a lot of friends. There was nothing more important to her day that obtaining the latest glossy celebrity magazine and scrutinising what all the 'wags' were doing.

Wives and girlfriends of celebrity footballers were her idols. If they wore Gucci, she wore Gucci. If they threw up after every meal in an attempt to stay a size zero then she would feel huge at a slender size ten and attempt the same. If they were wearing white leggings with blue tops, yellow socks and pink shoes then that's what Mia would be wearing.

This girl knew no bounds and truly believed that if she looked like a wag she would become one, one way or another. There was no way she intended to waste her time slogging away at a career. Her idols were the way to go and while she waited in the wings to be one, she could at least imitate one.

An opportunity soon came her way when a premier league football team came to her city to play in a much publicised match. Finding out where they would be celebrating, or commiserating, after the match wasn't too difficult and Mia went to town on looking like the best catch.

Dressed in Prada with a new pair of Louis Vuitton shoes and matching accessories, Mia also wore her designer luxury watch that daddy had just bought for her twenty first birthday. With perfectly styled hair that daddy had also paid a fortune for that afternoon, Mia made her way to the club once the match was over.

Bolstering her courage with one glass of disgustingly expensive champagne she soon got into the swing of things and it wasn't long before the footballers arrived. Within half an hour she was on the dance floor, draping herself seductively, or so she thought, over a six foot centre forward with a chest of iron and buns of steel. This was Mia's one opportunity to play hard to get and make him work for whatever he wanted from her, thus guaranteeing her way into the exclusive celebrity wag club and she was making a pig's ear of it.

Before the night was over Mia was, predictably, in a hotel room minus most of her clothes and jewellery. She put up no resistance whatsoever and let the footballer have his wicked way, firmly believing that they would exchange numbers and be engaged in a short period of time. Just for insurance purposes, once he had fallen asleep, she took photos on her mobile phone.

In the morning she had the frosty reception that any woman with two brain cells could have predicted and was packed off with a pat on her bum and no phone number. After a week of pestering the club, his PA and anyone associated with the team, Mia was issued with a police warning to stay away and was very offended.

It was then that she decided if she wasn't going to get her own way, she would go to the tabloid paper and sell her story. At first, they didn't believe her and it was only when it was possible to identify her luxury watch in the background of one picture as an exclusive that her father had commissioned for her that the reporters began to take notice.

Mia received a tidy sum for her story and as this was more money than she had ever seen in her life, she felt as though she had made it. For a while she was able to go out and buy whatever she wanted in her vain attempt to live the life of a wag but we all know where it's going to end.
