When someone is sick, it feels like the world is all unfair to him. Hence your warm presence beside the sickbed and a wonderful gift basket can make him think otherwise and really hasten the good health of a person.

Here is another way to do about the theme-inspired: if you know the person is a soccer fanatic, you may put together just about any kind of stuff like a shirt, a tie, a hanky, a mug, a frame, etc., with soccer ball prints on them.

By combination, you can put together just a variety of stuff which the person likes, such as a book of his or her favorite writer, a CD of his or her favorite artist, a bottle of his or her favorite cologne or perfume, etc. With many possible hits, you will hardly fail there.

Also a personalize gift basket is the food gift basket. You can then fill the basket with the persons favorite food or comfort food. It would be advisable if the dishes are home-cooked, knowing the person is probably sick of hospital food. But before you do so, consult first the persons family or doctor. If the person is under a certain diet, you can still give a food basket by putting only food stuff allowed by the persons dietician.

Whatever you choose to put inside your gift basket, do not forget to choose a good basket. You can even decorate or design the basket itself. This will all the more make your gift so personalized. You can hand paint the basket yourself, and for this you need a plain basket, or you may look for a simple but varnished basket and put a variety of adornments on it. You may tie small balloons on the handle of the basket, with a short streamer attaching a Get Well on it tied on the balloons strings. Nevertheless, a you may opt to let the basket stand for itself, for as long as the basket is very presentable. Just do not forget to attach your Get Well note or card.
