How To Order Flowers For Mother's Day From Your Local Florist
Flowers are a nice touch to give your mother for Mother's Day. If she has everything and you can not think of anything else to get her, flowers would be the perfect thing. The advantage of ordering flowers for this special occasion is that there are many floral arrangements and colors to choose from. Springtime brings out the best in flowers.
Mother's Day is one of the busiest times of the year when people order flowers. Local florists get so many orders that they can get extremely busy and overwhelmed. This day, along with Valentine's Day are very busy times for them. If you want to order Mother's Day flowers and get them to your mom or loved one on time, here are some things you can do:
Place the order for your Mother's Day flowers at least two weeks ahead of time with your local florist. In Virginia, many local florists require advance notice for for flower delivery. There are some in places like Virginia Beach and Richmond where ordering flowers early is especially important.
Check the prices of the flowers that you would like to get for Mother's Day. Stick with prices that are within your budget, if you have one. Just because it is Mother's Day, remember roses will cost more.
You will want to have alternatives, such as baby breath filler, daises or an ivy plant. A small bouquet would not set you back a lot so that should also be an option. However, if you just have to get roses, then be prepared to pay more than you normally would during other times of year.
Make sure there is a card with a brief note attached that goes with the Mother's Day flowers. You want your mother or mother-like figure to know that the flowers came from you.
If ordering online or calling your local florist on the phone, check the order thoroughly along with the spelling of everything. You want to make sure your flowers get delivered to the correct address and on time.
You will want to get confirmation of the delivery for the Mother's Day flowers. Try to get the general time frame of when they plan to deliver. Also, include any instructions as far as apartment number, suite number or special instructions on how to get in.
If you want, you can add some nice sentiments, such as chocolate candy, balloons and other items that will complement the floral arrangement.
The local florist should include tips on how to take care of the Mother's Day flowers so that your mother or female recipient will know how to care for them once they arrive.
Make sure to ask your mother if she will be at home on Mother's Day in order for her to receive her gift. If would be really nice if you could play if off as a surprise gesture. Otherwise inform the local florist that they can just leave the flowers at the door. In Virginia the weather at Mother's Day is just fine to leave flowers
Do not to forget to call her and make sure she received the flowers if you did not get that thank you call. Along with that, make sure to tell her how much she means to you. That would put the icing on the cake and make it the best Mother's Day.
