Plus Size Costumes, The 10 Most Famous Adult Plus Size Costumes of All Time

Now you would think that picking the top ten adult plus size costumes would be easy and so did I but it proved to be a much more difficult task than I first imagined.
After a brief viewing of the plus size costumes available which included the plus size Halloween costume section it was obvious choosing ten would be a hard job.

I thought the ideal place to start was the famous characters so I quickly made a list of the historical plus size costumes which included the likes of Cleopatra, Athena and Medusa but then I came across all the story book characters Red riding hood, Goldilocks and Alice in Wonderland. So that is not too bad I thought but then Wonderwoman, Batgirl and Supergirl used their super powers and sex appeal to get in on the act. Then of course it did not end there as the plus size Halloween costumes wanted their say and I am too superstitious to leave them out so in came Elvira and Sally so maybe you can appreciate the dilemma I had.

So who shall I name as the most famous plus size costumes and why? The only real criteria I could use would be the fact of how famous each character would be from a world wide perspective after all to be really famous you would have to be known all over the world. So with this in mind I would have to nervously cross off the Halloween plus size costumes most recent characters like Elvira and Sally that left me with the historical, comic book, film and story book characters. To narrow it down a little further I choose three characters from these last four categories.

So here it is, my top ten most famous plus size costume list. After hours of deliberations I have finally drawn up my top ten. You may not agree with me but here they are none the less.

Medusa, One of the most famous characters of Greek mythology who turned anyone who gazed upon her face into stone and one of the most popular plus size Halloween costumes of all time.

Cleopatra, A tragic pharaoh queen full of mystery and guile made even more famous by Elizabeth Taylor.

Little Red Riding Hood, The story book classic heroine who out wits the big bad wolf.

Wonderwoman, Owes her top five spot to the tv series that brought her into peoples homes world wide. A very popular plus size costume and fully merited her place in my top ten due to her own exploits and not just a counterpart of a male superhero.

Minnie Mouse, Girlfriend of the most famous mouse in the world and a very popular plus size costume when going as a couple.

Athena, Again drawing on the Greek mythology helped by the epic film Jason and the Argonaughts. This regal goddess is a favourite plus size adult costume.

Goldilocks, A classic plus size costume which has never gone out of fashion. The choice plus size costume for the girlie kind of girl.

Dorothy, Owes her top ten place to the annual showing of The Wizard of Oz which has a special place in everyone s heart.

Alice in Wonderland, Classic Lewis Carroll tale of a girl s almost psychedelic adventures in a fantasy world.

Betty Boop - A very sexy cartoon character from the 1930s that has just grown and grown in popularity and now awarded cult status. A huge favourite of the more flirty girl due to its great sex appeal.
