The Magic Of Christmas

Tags: , ,

The magic of Christmas can be felt many times throughout the year if there are Christmas presents to buy. Those presents could be placed in large boxes, wrapped in colorful paper and bows and hid underneath the bed until Christmas Eve. Parents realize the mystery that surrounds the Holiday season and they know that Christmas presents can also magically appear under the tree a week or two before the glorious holiday is due and no adults in the house will tell where they have been.

A child has great expectations about Christmas and will often ask quite a few questions about Santa and the Elves. They might be particularly interested in Rudolph and ask their parents how a reindeer can fly. The parents have evidently spent many evening watching television programs that are centered on the magic of Christmas and all of the presents that this jolly old man in the red suit will deliver on Christmas Eve. At least, that is their viewpoint on why they must go to bed extra early on Christmas Eve, and parents always seem very thankful for that fact.

The magic comes from the heart of children all over the world and is an especially fond holiday of children that live in poverty all over the world. To them, a present might be a roast duck or a bowl of rice, but those children are thankful for that one holiday of the year when they know they will have the opportunity to eat right. To those less fortunate, the story of Santa and his grand sleigh might not ever reach their ears if it was not for the missionaries who live in poverty with them and bring hope of a different kind to their ears each day.

There is no limit to the amount of magic that can be placed in a child 's life just by an act of kindness. The holiday shoppers that select items to give as gifts to children that are homeless or living in shelters are the ones who are truly blessed during the Christmas holiday season. The joy of Christmas is truly defined when gift givers see the light in a child 's eye brighten a bit and when they see a smile grace the face of a sick child when they go to sleep.

Some people volunteer their time every holiday season to bring magic to the lives of the elderly. This time of year is the loneliest of times for people that are aged because they feel that they are forgotten. Perhaps the price of gas kept their family from visiting that year or there is nobody left that they consider to be a friend. The loneliness will often go away for a considerable length of time when carolers stop by for a evening of song. Through the words of the Christmas carols, the aged can remember happy times and what the Christmas holidays truly represent.

Every person in the world can spread their own brand of magic during the Christmas holiday season. Some will remember to leave a gift for the postman who works so hard for everyone throughout the year. Others will remember a doctor, nurse or other health care professional that has made a difference in their own life. Without one or two of those individuals, there is a good chance that somebody might not have lived to see the magic of Christmas once more in their lifetime.
