Alternative Wind And Solar Powered Energy Ideas

Okay, you don't have to be an actual greenie in order to read anything in this article, you could just be getting into this sort of stuff and want a few pointers or want to know more about it, a greenie in training per se! A little bit about the earth and what we are going through right now; Since around the 1980s and even earlier on there was a HUGE hole forming in the ozone from things like methane gasses, garbage dumps, littering and even polar ice caps melting and collapsing all because of the rising temperatures. Now in 2008 it really has only gotten worse and that's one of the main reasons why so many people are trying to save the earth, go green, and try to do everything we can to fix all the problems we have caused. Up until a few years ago these processes were pretty unheard of, and now you see all sorts of new age things coming to consumers including solar powered cars and I mean who knew that would EVER happen?!? Through major research, however, people have finally figured out how we can use solar and wind energies to our advantage! Right now there are over 7 billion people on earth, granted a lot of these people don't have electricity or tons of technology so lets just look at Americans for now. I'm not even super-techy and I have a ton of gadgets, electronics, and other things that use energy. I know I use up my fair amount of energy, and I can be as green as I wanna seem, but wasting energy is one of the biggest threats to our society. I'm sure we have all heard of the Energy Crisis by now? Its one of the reasons gas is so darn expensive nowadays!

For those who don't know exactly what this is; An energy crisis is any massive price rise in the supply of energy resources to an economic system (such as gas). It normally refers to the shortage of oil and additionally to electrical energy or other natural resources. An energy crisis may be referred to as an oil crisis, petroleum crisis, energy shortage, electricity shortage or electricity crisis. A major collapse in the infrastructure is brought on by over expenditure.

So how can we, as Americans, reduce the amount of energy we are wasting? Well, as stated in the first part of this article, one way is to use solar power and wind power. I know this is going to sound stupid but just to make a very bold point; Sun doesn't cost money and it doesn't eat energy, Wind doesn't cost money and it doesn't consume energy either. That is why these two resources are two of the best resources when it comes to Renewable energy and that's why a lot of people are utilizing these resources rather than something like water which isn't a renewable resource; water CAN dissipate!
