Bio-Terror Attacks: What Can You Do To Protect You And Your Family

Although terrorism has always been there, 9/11 showed us the scale of carnage that modern terrorism can cause. Release of poisonous gas in a Tokyo subway has further fueled fears about our vulnerability and shown another facet of terrorism. Whereas these types of attacks are instant and devastating, a bio terror attack (releasing a contagious and deadly pathogen into a crowded public place) would be slower to show up. With the amount of travel these days, it also has the ability to spread nationwide and internationally in a very short time. Although less dramatic, this potentially makes bio terrorism the most dangerous of all.

At this point, I would like to say that I believe the media likes to hype the fear of terrorism as bad news travels faster. Politicians too can also use “terror alerts” to distract public attention away from other issues that may be embarrassing at that time. It is not the intention of this article to participate in scare mongering, so it should be noted that a few decades ago terrorism was more rife than it is today, with the IRA in the UK, the Bader Mienhoff in Germany, the Red Army in Italy, ETA in Spain, the PLO and a number of other groups in the Middle East; plus a number of others.

With this in mind so as not to over-react, it is still wise take precautions when possible. Unfortunately there is not much we as individuals can do against bombing or poison gas attacks as we don’t know where and when they will occur; plus they happen so quickly.

However, the thing that makes a bio terror attack so dangerous is also the thing that gives us a chance – the time delay. Although it can be spread far and wide before we know we are infected, it does give us the time to do something about it.

As a bio terror attack could be anything from anthrax to bubonic plague, what can be done? Which pathogen do you get an antidote for and where do you get it from? Should there be a sudden massive outbreak, will there be enough antidote to go around?

I would like to give you the recommendation that Dr Paul K. Carlton, Jr. the Director of the Integrative Center for Homeland Security at Texas drafted to the US Department of Homeland Security in 2003. Dr Carlton received a BSc Degree from the US Air Force in 1969 and a Doctor of Medicine in 1973. Between 1999 and 2002, he was the Surgeon General to the US Air Force, during which time he acted as the functional manager to the US Air Force Medical Service.

In his letter to the US Department of Homeland Security, Dr Carlton recommended a new advanced form of colloidal silver solution as an important resource in the event of bioterrorism or an outbreak of an infectious disease. Although other colloidal silvers have been around since the 1920’s, Dr Carlton’s referred to a new colloidal silver solution, whose technology is patent pending. He wrote of this advanced colloidal silver solution that it “has undergone rigorous testing and has been found to kill anthrax, bubonic plague, hospital staph, and SARS”. At the same time it is completely non-toxic to humans. The tiny nano-particles, just 10 nano-meters in length pass through the body, making it completely safe from Argyria (a condition that turns people blue) that had plagued some other colloidal silvers.

Dr Carlton continued that this advanced colloidal silver solution, “has shown to be a proven wild-spectrum anti –microbial/bio-decontaminant . . .that can be used to increase the safety and functionality of healthcare facilities in the event of a bio-terror attack or infection outbreak such as SARS”. Furthermore he wrote, “In short, we currently do not have anything with such a wide spectrum of efficacy . . . in our inventory”.

The good news for anyone wanting to take simple precautions against bio-terror attacks or even naturally occurring infection outbreak for themselves or their loved ones is that this new advanced colloidal silver solution is now commercially available.
