Top Five Reasons to Give Someone a Teddy Bear for Valentine's Day

It almost time for Valentine's Day, so it's time to prepare a romantic day for you and your significant other! This article is intended to help plan the perfect holiday with some gift suggestions.

The perfect gift for your sweetheart on Valentine's Day is the teddy bear; it can really show how special they are to you. You can use the teddy bear on its own or have it hold another gift, such as candy or flowers. It can even hold a card or letter. Nothing says "I love you" better. Here are the top five reasons to get your sweetie a teddy bear, along with some hints for making this Valentine's Day even more memorable.

1. Teddy Bears are Very Romantic

The teddy bear is the personification of romance, especially if it carries a bouquet of roses. It is the classic way to say "I love you." The teddy bear is also flexible and can easily be customized to your liking. Some teddies are sold with flowers, but you can also buy them separately. The advantage of buying them separately is that you can pick any kind of flowers in any quantity or size and then select a bear in the most practical size to accompany your gift. You can get the bear in their favorite color and then match it with their favorite flowers!

2. Teddy Bears are Tons of Fun

Valentine's Day should be all about fun, and teddy bears are the embodiment of fun! Not only is it a great gift, but the bear can bring a smile or a laugh, as well. Try getting a few red ribbons, tie them around a nice plush bear and include a card in the "ropes" that says, "I'm a prisoner of your love." If you use your imagination, you can come up with lots of other ideas. You could purchase a more comical looking teddy and add a nice piece of gold or silver jewelry to the bear. (This works best if your gift budget is a little higher.) The bear with a bracelet or necklace is a sure winner! That way you can combine two gifts in one! You could also add some lingerie to your bear, if you don't want it to be "bear" naked.

Another idea is to combine your bear with a corkscrew, then pull out a bottle of champagne or fine wine. You can then propose a nice toast to your love. You can enjoy the champagne now, and the bear can be a nice memento!

Of course there is no rule that says that a plush animal has to be a bear. If your sweetheart has some other favorite animal, like cats or dogs, then you could get them one of those, instead. Or even a more exotic animal like a plush lion or stuffed tiger. You could even get them a stuffed bat that says, "I'm batty for you!" The more that you customize their gift to their specific tastes and interests, the better they will like the present.

3. Teddy Bears Fit Every Budget

No matter what your budget, there is a teddy bear in your price range. They can cost anywhere from a few dollars up to several hundred dollars. As mentioned above, you can combine them with other gifts, which gives you even more control over how much you are spending. You can keep it simple, or get really extravagant if your pocketbook can handle it. There are teddy bears that can fit in your pocket or ones that are as big as a person!

4. Teddy Bears Create Great Memories

Flowers, chocolate and candy are great presents, but they are gone soon after Valentine's Day. A teddy bear makes a great memento of your love. Your sweetie will remember the occasion, and you, whenever they see the bear, and it can help remind them always of how much that you love them.

5. Teddy Bears are Classic for Good Reasons

No other gift is as synonymous with Valentine's Day as the teddy bear. The classic teddy has never gone out of style and never will because it is cute, cuddly, sweet, sentimental, huggable, and squeezable. It is the perfect romantic gift to express your love. They are much more adorable than a gift card!

6. Teddy Bear Bonus!

Even if you don't have a significant other, everyone can enjoy getting or giving a teddy bear on Valentine's Day. Give them to friends and family to show that you are thinking about them. It is a great way to remember parents, grandparents, kids, co-workers, and others. The teddy bear doesn't just symbolize romantic love, it represents all kinds of love. Anyone who gets a plush animal for Valentine's Day will surely appreciate it!

So no matter what your relationship is to the recipient, a teddy bear makes a great gift this Valentine's Day. It's classic, affordable, romantic, memorable, and fun. It's the perfect gift to make your Valentine's Day a truly special occasion!
