Nothing means something if it involves credit repair and fixing. Every bit of information helps and every penny counts.

Now, you got to sit tight until the credit bureau completes its investigation. By law they have to revert within a month period and that period of time has to be given to them. If they do not get back to you, then you will be cleared off everything. Well, then that is not a distinct possibility as you well know. The credit bureaus will send a correspondence to you with their impression on the investigation and share with you their views on the same. If it so happens that you are on the right, then the credit report of yours will look good.

When the credit report shows you that an item is off the list, but bounces back in sometime don't be shattered. Be prepared. There has to be a written correspondence from the bureau about this. If it has not been given then you can go against them. These subtle and important details are to be kept in mind when you go about fixing your credit.
