In the mid-1950s, Imperial Sugar Company built the first of many planned communities on the shores of a man-made lake and named it Venetian Estates.

It has grown up to become a city on its own, one of the fastest growing cities in the state. Its affluent, comfortable lifestyle attract residents from all over the country who want to take advantage of the amenities of living in a town that was planned to offer all the best that life has to offer.
