By Viola Woolcott

Following an alkaline diet is very simple, healthy and nutritious as well as nourishing and life giving. It is an approach to health, emphasising a reduction of foods, which have an acidifying effect on the body. Eat fresh, leafy green vegetables, salads and nuts (AVOID Peanuts and Cashews) etc and stay away from acid-forming foods i.e. sugar, alcohol, bad fats, tobacco, yeast, dairy, fizzy drinks, chocolates etc.

When this occurs it is important that you remember that your body is ‘talking to you’. It is trying to flush out excessive toxins.
