1. Intervention Phase: The Intervention program is the first phase of the rehab treatment program in New Mexico. It is a not always possible that the drug addict himself or herself comes for taking the treatment. Many times the addicts themselves are not aware about the seriousness of their addiction and that is why stay away from taking a treatment. Here the intervention programs help the addicts to accept that they need treatment to come out of addiction.

There are even some patients who after coming into the treatment center in New Mexico are still into denial mode. The intervention programs also make it possible for the patient to understand the overall nature and functioning of the treatment programs. The addicts are brought into the addiction treatment center by convincing them through a proper intervention program. The family members of the addict, who want their loved one to take treatment over their addiction, can form a group and take help of the intervention program.

The interventionist will ask the family members to prepare speeches that will be directed to the addict. These speeches will disclose the feelings of the family member towards the addict. These speeches will make the addict emotional and he or she will feel like giving up their addiction for their family. The intervention program will give complete guidance to the addict and their family about which treatment program they should go for and which treatment center will be comfortable for the addict.

2. Detox Phase: Detoxification program is the second phase of the drug rehab treatment program in New Mexico. The detox treatment is carried out in order to remove the accumulated addictive substance from the patient's body. The detox treatment program can be from three days long to three weeks long. This time will depend upon the addict's level of addiction and the time since when they are into addiction.

In the detox program the patient will be asked to stay away from the addiction and they will have to stay under medical supervision throughout the program. The patient will show some withdrawal symptoms, which will be given medical treatment. The withdrawal symptoms will also depend on the level of the addiction and time since when the patient was into addiction.

For those who are into methamphetamine addiction will need to take the detox treatment, which will be more intense and harsh. Such patient will need to go under detox for more than three weeks. It is better for such patients to go in meth rehab center in New Mexico for taking proper treatment.

3. Aftercare Phase: The aftercare program marks the end of the drug rehab treatment program in New Mexico. This program begins once the detox treatment program gets over. The patient will have to fight with their cravings for the addictive substance and the aftercare program helps the patient in doing so. In this program the patients will be given maintenance medications. The patient will be given various therapies like acupressure and acupuncture.

The patient will also be taught various other exercises to cope with their temptations, like breathing exercises, relaxation therapies, and Yoga and Meditations. Thus in short the patient will be taught to lead a controlled life so that they don't have a relapse in their addiction treatment.

The family of the patient will be given counseling on how they should welcome their loved one, once they come back home after treatment, how they should react or not react, what they must talk to motivate the patient to stay away from their addiction. The family will be trained to control the situation in case the relapse in the addiction treatment occurs.
