Health Care Belongs At Home - Not In The Halls of Congress!

It's amazing to me how so many Americans have allowed themselves to be duped by politicians who claim they can provide health care for them. Do Americans not understand that their health is their individual responsibility? Do Americans understand so little about good health that they think it can be provided by a politician, or a health insurance company, or a doctor, or worse from taking a pill?

A politician with promises is only buying your vote. It gets worse, politicians want us to believe they understand the problems and are compassionate and knowledgeable enough about health care and only they can make it work. Even a health insurance company does not care about your health, it's a business. A doctor is a valuable component of health care helping people stay healthy, but they have their hands tied behind their back when it comes to practicing medicine as it should be because of insurance companies and lawyers.

The recent Obama Stimulus Package that passed through Congress is nothing more than an "obamanation" to health care. It contains a provision to create still another government agency that will tell our doctors how to treat us when we are ill. I do not know about you but I will not trust a bureaucrat to made decisions about my health. If this isn't bad enough the new laws goes further by encouraging the rationing of health care services based on the societal potential of productivity for individuals.

One of the creators of this ignorant program is on record as saying (and here I will paraphrase) "old people should realize their life is about over anyway and accept reality, die". Somewhere we have lost our moral compass to allow this to happen. Nothing is more beneficial to good health than a good home life where the family laughs, enjoys each other, exercises regularly, and eats properly. We can fix health care in this country if we take responsibility for our own health, un-elect politicians who make promises they cannot keep, and demand only catastrophic insurance coverage from health insurance companies.

My response to the posed statement: My approach to fixing health care in this country, and around the world, is for everyone to accept personal responsibility for living a healthier life style, and electing "statesmen" instead of politicians to public office. In addition, insurance companies will provide the programs we demand at prices that are entirely affordable if we let our wished be known to them.

Health Care is not "rocket science" it is COMMON SENSE. Fritz Scheffel is leading a movement to fix the health care system and is the writer and author of "Health Care: It Can Be Fixed". This book is a great first step to understand what health care really is and how we can work together toward an affordable and workable health care environment.

Let me know what you think about this statement and my response.

Within this blog and others I will be taking part in I want to hear from YOU any questions you may have about health care. In my life time I have seen both "universal" and "free-enterprise" health care systems and am anxious to participate in the debate because I am absolutely convinced embracing "free-enterprise" health care is the only way we can have a viable and affordable health care system.

A debate on health care needs to happen. Citizens of this country, and the world, need to know what health care really is and not just what they hope it will be. To facilitate the debate we are launching a campaign utilizing the internet and the vast resources now available. We can only do this through "education" and "participation". If you agree with us you can participate by helping to finance the effort as we can only go as far as our resources will let us. Our plans are many fold;

1) we will be an advocate for health care programs based on "free-enterprise" principles and totally devoid of ANY government intervention,

2) we will be an advocate for a doctor friendly health care system,

3) we will be an advocate for businesses, both large and small, to be freed from health care responsibilities,

4) we will attempt to establish learning centers for politicians, and future politicians, to learn how to save our tax dollars instead of seeing how many of our tax dollars they can spend,

5) for those weak citizens with their hands held out and expecting government to provide for them, we will work for YOU because we know you will have better care with our approach than any government run program could ever provide, and

6) we will continue to expand our efforts as long as we have the resources and the energy.
