Face painting is probably one of the most enjoyable activities anybody can enjoy doing and participating in. If you are one of those who enjoy this activity but do not have any ideas on face painting designs, this is the best time to learn the craft.

One of the major considerations should be face painting designs because this is what the outcome will depend on. For starters, it is best to choose basic and simple designs to avoid any mistakes. Aside from plain and simple designs, it is also advisable to use basic color patterns to ensure that the combination of various colors will match or complement the pattern or the design itself.

Choosing face painting designs

Some people might think that creating face painting designs is an arduous and tiring task. Well, it can be if you don't have enough passion for what you are doing. In fact, it can be difficult especially to people who did not spend time to learn the craft itself. But, if you truly want to create designs that are unique and beautiful, then you'll think it's an easy and fun activity to do.

Aside from the skill, artistry, and creativity of the face painter, face painting designs will truly create an impact. Today, the most common designs include animal prints such that of lions and tigers as well as insect patterns such as butterflies, dragonflies, and many more. But, it doesn't mean that face painting designs are limited to these patterns. In fact, with imagination and enough creativity, anything or anybody can be a pattern for the design for the face paint.

But, before you start painting with any design that you have chosen, bear in mind that it should always complement the one who is wearing it. In choosing face painting designs for a model, aside from paying a great deal into his or her request, make sure that you take into consideration the gender, age, and the occasion where the face paint will be used.

When choosing face painting designs, the first thing to consider is the age of the model. For kids, it is easier to do paint designs that are simple, colorful, and bright. For little boys, consider spider, monster, pirate, puppy, and skull designs. These designs will bring out the adventurous side of little boys when they try scare people away. For little girls, do some designs based on flowers, rainbow, fairy, princess, or butterfly to bring out their playful and jolly side.

For older models, face painting designs will be as light as a breeze when you take time to access his or her personality. If you feel that the model is into sports or a sports buff, try to suggest designs that are related to his or her favorite sport or team. If the model is into environment, design something that has to do with the environment such as plants, trees, animals, or bodies of water on his or her face.

By assessing the personality of the model, there will be seemingly limitless possibilities when it comes to designing the face paint. Always remember that to be able to ensure that the design of face paint will complement the model, make him or her choose with what is comfortable for him or her to wear.

When creating the design, make sure that you paint it in a manner that will truly look best and natural to the model. Make sure that the colors that you will be using can make the design truly standout by blending one or more colors together to create a breathtaking result. Also, make sure that you pay attention to the details of the chosen design to make it more realistic and natural.

Aside from this major considerations, copying face painting designs will be much easier than you would think it would if you familiarize yourself with basics, such as the type of face paint to use, the different types of brushes and sponges that will create the most effective impact on the model, and what to use in removing the face paint properly.
