Cool Digital Photography Websites Online
As a photographer I often find that no matter how good I become as an artist and a professional, advice is always welcome. Since advice is always welcomed I enjoy checking out new websites to see what other hints, tips and tricks other photographers such as myself are offering.
These websites (which are most likely blogs) allow you to ascertain specific details about digital photography. These things may include posts about digital photography such as what is digital photography, how it works, different types, different forms. You can even find other information such as best cameras to use, best lenses, and the best software for digital photography editing!
These sites are not only nice for people such as myself that already have a hand in the digital photography world but, they are also quite useful for people that just bought a camera and want to get started.
Some of these sites have amazing tutorials of how to take a picture, best lighting, etc. These websites could easily make a professional out of you! Even if you do something like photography as a hobby, you still can learn a lot from these websites. One website I recently found had a lot of blogs about digital photography but, they also had some cool camera reviews as well.
This is nice if you know nothing about cameras. In most cases when you go to a store online or offline and you're very new at digital photography you might find that you have found yourself to be in an overwhelming and sometimes frustrating situation. Fret no more! Websites like this take time to research different cameras and accessories for you so that you can buy a camera and know that it's the best one for you! For example, here are three cameras I found on this one website:
Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens (Black) -
This camera is a spectacular option for the amateur gone serious. As always Canon and Nikon are two of the best camera brands one can buy to ensure the best high quality pictures!
The Canon Digital Rebel Xsi is an SLR single-lens reflex (which uses an automatic moving mirror system which permits the photographer to see exactly what will be captured by the film or digital imaging system, as opposed to non-SLR cameras where the view through the viewfinder could be significantly different from what was captured on film).
This one in particular offers all kinds of nifty options such as 12.2-mega pixel CMOS sensor captures enough detail for poster-size, photo-quality prints, Large 3.0-inch LCD; includes Canon's EF-S 18-55mm, f3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens, DIGIC III image processor provides fast, accurate image processing; improved Auto focus and framing rate and a whole lot more!
PowerShot SD790IS 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom -
Great option for the avid picture taker that wants a nice camera but doesn't want to cause a lot of fuss when having to take a picture. This a compact digital which means that it is much smaller than its big brother the SLR. This one in specifics can fit into a purse or even a pocket for that matter!
Features include; 10-mega pixel CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality poster-size prints, 3x optical image-stabilized zoom, Face Detection; Motion Detection Technology automatically reduces blur and 3.0-inch PureColor LCD II screen for bright, accurate color and wide viewing angle. No it's not as good as the one above, but then again this is a completely different camera for completely different usages than the XSi!
SX10IS 10MP Digital Camera with 20x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom -
Another fantastic SLR and in its own right. Of course this SLR is a lot like the first one mentioned but no two cameras are the same (unless you buy the same ones twice)! This one is equipped with a 20x optical zoom lens with a focal length of 5.0-100mm (35mm film equivalent: 28-560mm) that allows you to shoot any scene from wide-angle to telephoto.
The camera uses a VCM (Voice Coil Motor) for high-speed, quiet, energy-efficient lens movement with precise control. Focal length is conveniently indicated on the lens barrel. Also included are features such as 10.0-megapixel resolution for high-quality printing and flexibility when editing, 20x optical zoom, wide-angle lens and Optical Image Stabilizer; improved speed and quiet zooming, and 2.5-inch Vari-angle LCD; DIGIC 4 Image Processor improves Face Detection.
So as you can see these websites are not only helpful and informational but, they could just as well bring a ton of new knowledge and technology your way! Digital photography sites do come a dime a dozen but when you find a good one, hold onto it for dear life.
As with everything else, not everything is created equal. You might find website you really love and one you "kind of" like. Differentiate between the two on how much information they give you. As always, remember to have fun, be creative, and good luck!
