Artificial Versus Live Plants For Fine Decor
Anyone would want to decorate their home or office so that it will suit their personal tastes and make them feel great being there. If you enjoy plants, and like to be surrounded with different kinds, you may have to consider a lot of things to ensure that the plants will survive your place. They have needs that you must accommodate, just like people do.
But if you can have the look that you want while avoiding all the hassles that plants can give you, wouldn't you take that option? This is what an artificial plant has to offer, since it can decorate your home in exactly the same way that a real plant does, but it will not entail all the effort involved in keeping something alive and healthy.
There are more reasons why artificial plants are preferable to real ones as well. Like the amount of money that you can save with an artificial plant. It will never have to be replaced so you will only have to go through the trouble of looking for the perfect thing once.
Unless you like to change your decor up every now and then, which is the other great thing about artificial plants. You can easily change them whenever you want a new look, and even store the old ones so you can switch back and forth to your heart's content. Cleaning a dusty artificial plant that has been stored would only require a few moments in the sink, a quick dry up afterwards, and it's ready to go.
If you are still hanging on to the idea that the natural look of live plants is best, you should expose yourself to the different designs on the market these days. Artificial plants can look just as real. So much so that distinguishing which one is alive and which is not, from a distance, would be difficult.
Another thing to consider for all the natural look purists out there is that your place really isn't a natural environment for a plant. Keeping a plant or potted flowers indoors will not allow them to grow properly. I have found that it's only a matter of time before they wither.
I used to try for that delicate balance all the time too. And if it wasn't one thing, it was another. Either my place didn't offer the plant the soil that it needed, or the amount of sunshine was off, or the proper air flow wasn't there for it to survive.
It really then becomes more a matter of finding a choice that will survive in your place. And unless you like cactus, that could be a challenge. But any place will do when you are using an artificial plant, and you can even put it in hard to reach places within your home since there isn't any watering required.
This is also a great idea for those who insist on the best of both worlds. You can try mixing both synthetic and live plants together. Use the synthetic variety in places that you are certain a live plant wouldn't last more than a few days in. Like a corner of the room that gets no sunlight, but needs sprucing up nonetheless. Or a high shelf that you would need a step ladder and a mountain goat to get up there and water something on.
With the synthetic material available today, the natural look can be achieved in a room with either pure artificial plants or a happy coexistence between them and the live variety. They will all be able to make your home or office shine.
