The Convenience Of The Central Vacuum System

When it comes to household chores, nothing can be more tedious than vacuuming. Moving a sometimes heavy and awkward unit from room to room can be physically exhausting. All that is required to bring with you from room to room is one standardized and lightweight hose that fits into each inlet. Such inlets no longer require you to plug into numerous outlets dragging a heavy vacuum and trying to make a cord reach from room to room.

Dirt and debris is vacuumed through the hose of the system and then passed through the conductors from the inlets to a central container that is kept in one area of the home. The container should be located in an out of the way place such as a basement because it also must include the main power for the unit.

The only thing that must be done in the way of maintenance is the periodic emptying of the container. Within the container is either a canister or bag that holds all the dirt and debris. Emptying should take place, on average every 3 to 4 months.

Installing a central vacuum system requires the work of professionals who will help you locate the best spot for a central receptacle. They will then help you locate the most convenient places for inlets throughout the home. Typically, professionals suggest an inlet positioned at every 600 square feet of the home. This will allow for convenient cleaning in places that the hose can still reach.

Part of the function of a central system is its filtration. There are two main types of vacuum system units that speak to two different kinds of filtration. The cyclonic system can be compared to a small, contained tornado that spins the dirt and debris and removes impurities from the air. The filtered systems use a filter material, such as screen or cloth, to remove impurities from the air. When using the filtered systems, however, it is important to regularly change the filters.

This type of a system can obviously maximize the convenience to homeowners. But it can also maximize the resale value of the home. Those looking to purchase a home will appreciate the extra convenience.

Gone are the days of lugging that antiquated vacuum cleaner up and down stairs; there is a new world of convenience and household maintenance in the form of the central vacuum system.
