A cooker hood or an exhaust hood or range hood collects the steam, vapors and smoke that are generated in the kitchen while in the process of cooking and vents it out through the exhaust which is installed. Another important attachment in the cooker hood is the filters. Whether one is installing a recirculating or the extraction version, filters perform a very important role in the hoods. They help in arresting the greasy deposits that are generated while cooking in the smoke and fumes that are generated and do not let them pass onto the exhaust ducting and into the environment. This helps the users in keeping a check on polluting the environment plus also prevents deposits on the ducting which can be a potential fire hazard.

Apart from that there should be some amount of importance should be given to factors like designing in order to ensure effective exhaust and suction system with the help of cooker hoods.
