Hi,
You are right that a sump pump is one of the best equipment for removal of water because it can suck the water from the lowest levels of the house. Recently I purchased Toyo ‘O’ series line-shaft pump (http://www.toyopumps.com/toyo_html/line-shafts1.html ) features a non-sealed column with a submerged, clear water flushed, split radial bearing from Toyo Pumps. Toyo pumps have different types of pumps i.e. dewatering pumps, positive displacement pumps and high pressure pumps.
Thank you,
John
