Making Bath Time Fun For Everyone
Many of us usually take a bath without any fuss but our kids don't take to the water so easily. The majority of kids really hate taking a bath which is why it's important that you make taking a bath for your kid fun and interesting. When I was a kid my parents used to buy me toys which I could play with only if I was in the bath tub which was a good idea because it got me to take a bath everyday without much fuss. However parents don't find this kind of thing very easy nowadays with their kids.
Bathing a child can possibly be one of the most stressful things a parent undertakes and if anything whatever is done to ease the stress is a bonus. The truth is that this can really ruin your day but if worked out correctly it shouldn't be very difficult. You need to take the boredom out of bathing which is easier said than done. Not many children are ready to sit though a 10 minute bath time.
For many people a morning or evening shower is probably the highlight of the day that's because we work almost ten hours a day on average and there is a need to feel fresh. Things such as driving around, making food and even visiting is all considered work which is apart from the eight to ten hours we put in the office.
A fifteen minute shower for us is a chance to get some peace and quite and really a chance to unwind. It's a part of our daily grind we really look forward to.
Many children however don't see things our way. In a way they see it as being somehow a reduction of their playtime and some time away from their toys. So in order to get children to take a bath you need to make it worth their while by bringing what they like to do to the bathroom. Most kids under five wont be interested in a PSP but they will be interested in playing with a rubber duck, or their favorite plastic truck.
By allowing your kid to take a few water safe toys to the bathroom you are giving them an opportunity to entertain themselves until they get clean. The advantage of this is you don't have to worry about then yelling and crying because they don't want you to put soap on their faces.
There are also many other things associated with fun which can be done in the bathroom. Kids who like to sing along can easily be charmed with as little as a CD player with their favorite nursery rhyme CD. You can then encourage your kid to sing along.
Knowing your kid is imperative because that is the only way you can hook them on and get them to do what you want. Yes it takes time and it's a big effort but its an effort you need to make to get your kids clean every day.
Buying a bath for a small bathroom presents some interesting challenges. You don't want one aspect of the room to overtake the whole space, but you don't want to have to squeeze into a bath or shower with no room to turn around or get clean. Renovating to increase the space is often not an option. Fortunately, there are many ways that you can improve on a small space and create a better bathroom overall.
There are all kinds of potential bath options when installing a new one. You have the obvious option, which is to replace the current tub with one that matches the basic dynamics and measurements. But if you are looking to get more out of a small space, then you might want to consider some other options.
