Modern Cement - The Basics

Modern hydraulic cements started to be developed with the beginning of the industrial revolution (around 1700), led by the three principal needs: Hydraulics returns for the buildings of brick completion in wet climates * the mortars to hydraulic lime for the construction of masonry of the port functions etc, in contact with sea water.
