Neighborhood Watch and Other Neighborhood Activities Enhanced with Night Vision Devices

Because of the high crime rates and spooky movies darkness has become a frightening place for most people. Part of the problem is that the media would make you believe that the worst time to be out in our world is at night. We feel helpless and vulnerable if we are a victim of crime, and many people are taking to the streets to help.

To combat crime in neighborhoods many people are developing Neighborhood Watch groups. If you are unfamiliar with Neighborhood Watch, it is a program that is done by private citizens in neighborhoods to discuss the needs of the community. Once these needs are assessed people in the neighborhoods are assigned a night to keep watch over the neighborhood and report any suspicious activity to police.

As more people move into neighborhoods there is an increasing number of Watch groups and more people are concerned about keeping an eye and ear open in their specific neighborhoods. They become the eyes and ears of law enforcement, because citizens can be constantly watching while police cannot.

Today in some areas, neighborhood watch captains are finding that using night vision devices enhance their ability to see and identify criminals when they come into the neighborhood.
