Top 5 House Cleaning Tricks you can do in 60 Seconds

We all are looking for ways to make cleaning the house easier, faster, and cheaper, arent we? The never ending quest for a better way is one that is as old as the idea of a house itself is. The one thing that keeping a home clean depends on completely is organization. Without organization you cannot find needed supplies, you create more messes trying to find those supplies, and then you become frustrated. Once it is all said and done, you are in a bad mood, you havent found what you were looking for, and it is four hours later and the house is no cleaner. There has got to be some ways to simplify it all!

Fortunately, there are five essential tips that people should follow if they want to really get the cleaning done fast and get it done well. The trick here is to take ONE minute and do something. Do anything! The first tip if you only have a minute is to change the bag on your vacuum. If you have a canister, empty that. You may not think that this is a chore, but when it comes time to vacuum you wont have to spend the time during your cleaning to stop and mess with that bag. It doesnt take much time to empty it, and doing this will make your machine pick up more from the floor with less dust and mess being left behind. Make sure that you empty the canister outside so that you wont end up having to dust the shelves and lampshades from underneath a bunch of gross vacuum dust.

Tip number two for a 60 second job is to dust one thing. If you are headed out the door and find yourself waiting on someone, grab a feather duster or a rag and wipe down one thing. Do this five times and youve dusted a whole room before you know it. You can dust down the TV, shelves, or DVD players, for example.
For a 60 second job you can go through the mail from today (or yesterday). Many people let papers pile up through the week, and by the time Saturday comes they have to take an hour or more to go through dozens of papers, notices, bills, junk mail, and newspapers. Taking one minute at a time will also leave you with a lot less clutter. Dont keep that junk mail, either! If you have lived without a yellow tu tu painter this far, you can certainly live without it now.

Tip number four is all about towels and trash bags. Go to the kitchen or your bathroom, toss existing towels into the laundry hamper and pull out some fresh ones real quick. This will not only make the room cleaner, but will also cut down on germs in your home. This takes no time at all, and your home and your family will be healthier with clean towels more often. Along with germs comes garbage. Even if you dont have the time to go to every room to collect all of the trash in your house, just taking out a bag or two can help prevent the famous trash can overflow, especially in rooms that dont get the trash dumped very often for whatever reason. Hey, while you are in that bathroom, grab a newspaper from that mail pile and a bottle of glass cleaner and clean that mirror! You know youre tired of looking at those toothpaste spots that have dried on it.

The final top tip for cleaning your home that takes less than a minute is to water a plant. Fill a large pitcher so that you can go to more than one plant quickly, and if you have two minutes you can pluck any dead leaves off of them. This will save the plants and save you a lot of time when the day for big house work comes along.
