Live The Journey Not The Destination

Everyday you hear about people who consistently accomplish their dreams and aspirations, people who are on the right path to making their dreams a reality. If you interview them, you'll often find that many of these same people are happy and are enjoying their lives immensely.

By their actions, you might think that they have it all but when you ask them, they might say, that they aren't where they want to be, but they are still enjoying life to the fullest right now. If you're on a path to accomplishing your goals but still want to get the most out of your life right now, then we'd love to help you. In this article, we will discuss how to live your life to the fullest right now.

Here are 5 tips that will help you can live the journey and not the destination:

1. Don't worry be happy. Most people spend so much time worrying about their failures that they can't appreciate their accomplishments. Right now, learn to be proud of yourself. Although you haven't yet accomplished all your goals, look back on your life and be thankful for everything you've accomplished so far.

If you just take a moment out of your day right now, you'll see that you have accomplished a lot. There are many wonderful things that you can be thankful for. So, right now, take a moment out of your day and think about all you've accomplished. I'm sure you'll appreciate how far you've come at this time in your life. Start today - being proud of you!

2. Be thankful every single day. Every day find something that you can be thankful for. By expressing gratitude for the little and big things in your life, you'll notice that you're happier and that your life feels more fulfilled.

For instance, if you're thankful for your rose garden, health or family, then make sure that you give thanks for those things every single day. A really good idea is to have a thankful journal and to write in it every day. By acknowledging your gratitude in this manner, you'll notice that other positive things/people are manifested into your life.

3. Practice living in the moment. Be mindful of your surroundings and enjoy them. For instance, if you typically drive to the bus stop, leave a few minutes early and walk. On your walk, pay attention to the beautiful green grass, the blooming flowers and even your neighbors. Look around and be amazed with every step that you take.

4. Enjoy yourself. Do not postpone your happiness. Enjoy yourself right now. Take time to have fun. Don't wait until tomorrow. Just do it now. For instance, let's say that you've wanted to spend some time with loved ones but keep getting pulled into work demands.

Well, leave work early. Play hookey. Turn off the cell phone and have a picnic with family or friends. Do what matters to you the most with those people you care about and love.

5. Believe in happiness. Visualize yourself as a happy and content person that will accomplish your goals. Imagine yourself being able to turn off negativity and live in the moment. Imagine yourself living life to the fullest. Enjoying each moment and having a great time. Then, practice these skills until your vision becomes your reality.

In conclusion, you may not be where you want to be but you are well on your way. By enjoying the journey not the destination, you will have a wonderful life full of happiness and joy.
