How I Make $100-$200/Day in Passive Income by Combining Affiliate Marketing with Article Marketing

It's no secret that affiliate marketing can be very lucrative. However, it's also no secret that many fail to make anything at all from it. Following is the plan I use to routinely bring in $100 to $200 per day (sometime more) by combining affiliate marketing with article marketing.

Step 1 to Affiliate Marketing Success: Product Research. This is the key to any lucrative affiliate marketing campaign -- you must choose the right product. I have to admit, I stumbled on mine quite by accident. But once I realized why the product was so popular, it gave me key insight into how to proceed selecting my next product.

The product I promote has to do with foreclosures, which are hot in the news right now -- and will be for some time to come if the numbers coming out of Washington on housing are any indication.

So choose a product that's "hot." Some will be "of the moment products;" others will be evergreen, ie, always popular. Some evergreen, hot affiliate marketing products revolve around weight loss, how to get out of debt, finding love, how to make more money, etc. The reason products like these will always be popular is because people will always strive for these things.

Now, a popular product can cut both ways in that the market can be oversaturated. BUT, as most affiliates never take the time to really promote their product, you can do well even in an oversaturated market.

And, this is why the next step is so important, which is . . .

Step 2 to Affiliate Marketing Success: Create a Consistent Article Marketing Campaign. This is the secret to your success. Why do I say this?

You see, many want to write a few articles, stick them on an affiliate site and sit back and wait for the profits to roll in. It ain't gonna happen like that. You need to consistently market your affiliate product. And by consistent I mean do something every day -- or at least every other day.

I'm astounded at how my affiliate sales drop off when I miss a few days of writing and submitting articles. With that being said, following in Step 3 are the specifics of how I go about my article marketing to make $100 to $200 per day in affiliate sales.

Step 3 to Affiliate Marketing Success: Write and Submit Articles. I write and submit one article 3 to 5 times a week and submit them to five or six directories manually.

The article directories I submit to manually are EzineArticles, Amazines, IdeaMarketers, AfroArticles, GoArticles and ArticleonRamp. If I'm really pushed for time, I will just do two or three, usually EzineArticles, IdeaMarketers and Amazines.

I particularly like IdeaMarketers because the articles submitted there go live immediately.

THEN, after submitting articles manually to these directories, I use an article submission service, ArticleMarketer, which distributes my article to hundreds and sometimes a few thousand directories, newsletters, websites, etc.

That's it. That's all I do to bring in $100 to $200 per day in affiliate sales. This takes about an hour per day between the writing and submitting. Then, I spend the rest of the day on my real job -- freelance writing, which brings me to my last point . . .

Why Affiliate Marketing is Important for Freelance Writers

Freelance writing is an up and down existence. And, even though I'm extremely well paid as an SEO copywriter (routinely billing $100 to $250 or more per day), there will come a day when I want to retire. So, I use the money I make from affiliate marketing to fund my retirement nest egg and to get completely out of debt.

Disclaimer: Keep in mind that every affiliate product is different and can produce different results. That's why it's extremely important to spend some time doing product research up front.
